🌟 Celebrating Our Volunteers 🌟

At Thornton Rose, quite simply, we could not do the work we do without our incredible volunteers.

Every week, they give their time, energy, skills, and hearts to help care for our horses and support everything that happens here. From mucking out stables and maintaining the yard to lending a helping hand wherever it's needed, our volunteers are the backbone of Thornton Rose.

Here is what some of our Saturday volunteers had to say about volunteering with Thornton Rose RDA:

“I absolutely love volunteering at Thornton Rose—it’s my complete escape from the day job. One minute I’m in Director mode, the next I’m swapping meetings for mucking out in the fresh air, usually in the rain, occasionally questioning my life choices! But it’s honestly my happy place—being around the horses and the brilliant volunteers keeps me grounded and reminds me what really matters."

What an absolutely fantastic day we had yesterday at Penicuik Hunter and Lass 🐴✨

A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped throughout the day, and to everyone who generously donated prizes for the tombola. Thanks to your kindness and support, we raised an incredible amount of money, and we are so grateful to every single person who contributed.

Thank you also to everyone who stopped by our stall, chatted with us, and took the time to learn more about Thornton Rose RDA. It was wonderful to meet so many lovely people and share the work we do.
It had such a great day and feel incredibly thankful for the support, generosity, and community spirit shown by everyone involved.

Busy few weeks here at RDA!
