🌹 Thornton Rose RDA at the Roslin Village Fete!🌹

What a fantastic day we had at the Roslin Village Fete! 🥰

We had a brilliant time with our home baking, games and tombola, and we are absolutely delighted to have raised a whopping £456! 🎉👏

A massive thank you to everyone who helped and supported us throughout the day — from our amazing volunteers, to the wonderful fete committee, and to every single person who stopped by to chat, have a browse, play a game or buy something from us. ❤️

Every bit of your support makes such a difference and helps us continue doing what we love — supporting our riders and providing opportunities through Thornton Rose RDA. 🐴🌹

🌹JOIN THE THORNTON ROSES FOR THE EDINBURGH KILTWALK!🌹

On Sunday 13 September, we’re taking on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to raise vital funds for Thornton Rose RDA — and we’d absolutely love you to join us! 💜🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🐴

Whether you’re walking with us or simply cheering us on from the sidelines, every bit of support makes a difference.

🌹 THE THORNTON ROSES. 🌹

There are two fantastic Kiltwalk options:

🚶‍♀️ Big Stroll – 11 miles
🕙 Starts at 10am
📍 Fisherrow Links, Musselburgh → Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium

🚶 Wee Wander – 4.5 miles
🕥 Starts at **10.30am
📍 Victoria Park → Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium

The Kiltwalk is a brilliant day out, but more importantly, it gives us the chance to raise much-needed funds for our wonderful RDA centre and the horses and riders who rely on us. 🐴 WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

Running an RDA centre comes with so many essential costs. Donations help us provide:

Sharer required- 1 day per week

A rare sharer slot has become available for one of Thornton Rose RDA’s ponies, for 1 day/week (THURSDAYS). The pony is in a DIY livery setup and financial contribution will be required. Turnout and stable duties will be required or cost of cover for these to be covered by the sharer (there will be seasonal changes to turnout routine).

BLUE is an older gentleman with some management needs but plenty of get up and go! He would be suitable for a competent teenager or lightweight adult looking to take advantage of the yard’s extensive off-road hacking and both indoor and outdoor schools. He is involved with our RDA sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays and has an impressive showing/pony club career- so has really been there, done that and got every T-shirt! He will look after his rider but is by no means a ‘dope on a rope’.

He is 14hh and due to his age, we have a strict 10stn 3lb weight restriction. Referencess will be required and under 18’s may require adult supervision when on the yard.
