Clynfyw CBS is running a series of Climate Conversations throughout 2026 to help our West Wales/Lower Teifi Valley community get a better understanding of, and become better prepared for, the challenge of climate breakdown and the poly-crises we face in the coming years.
During the first conversation in February, Climate Communicator, David Brodie, presented his Five Films about Climate. The second conversation morphed into us supporting West Wales' Climate Coalition's Climate and Nature Hustings in advance of the Senedd Election on the 7th May.
The third Conversation will be on Tuesday 9th June is part of Big Green Week and has a focus on Community Halls, Schools and Places of Worship, looking at how we can future proof them to become more resilient community hubs. Our confirmed speakers are Rhys Morgan, Pembrokeshire County Council's De-carbonisation Officer, Prof. Michael Shakib from Cwm A***n Renewable Energy to talk about their Unlocker Project. We await confirmation from two others.
As Community Leaders, we would like to invite you to come along.
This talk is designed to share sometimes complex information and opportunities in an accessible way so it can be passed on to other people. It is intended for people who may not be experts and could be new to the climate conversation but keen to learn more.
We have support from Climate Cymru, LPIP and Ein Cegin, to host a series of community meals, the first of which we are holding on the same night, so come along for a meal and a chat beforehand
Here is a bit more information about the event. We hope you are able to come.
