It's that time of year again when we all start to think about the summer holidays.
Going to the sea side or swimming in the pool, even getting the paddling pool out will come in our thoughts.
So why don't you give yourself peace of mind and make sure your children can swim and know water safety.

We are very popular so have a very limited no. of spaces available.
Learning how to swim is one of the most important things a child should have the opportunity to do.
Here at Turton Swimming club we provide affordable lessons for children from the age of 4
The Club as been established more than 50 years, and we are very proud to have The Bolton Quality Accredited Mark.
The club is run entirely by volunteers on a Tuesday evening at Turton leisure centre with lessons starting at 6.30 pm.
We aim to provide a safe, friendly environment for the children to learn how to be confident, competent swimmers. we also teach pool and water safety

Happy New year everyone.
We have just completed another busy year at swimming club
We have some new volunteers and some freshly qualified teachers working along side our experienced teachers and volunteers
I wish to apologise to anyone who has been on our waiting list for sometime
I never expected the volume of children wanting to join
We have been working very hard to accommodate as many children as possible
We also need to keep everyone safe and we never rush any of the children, plus we accept that each child is an individual and will learn at their own pace.
We offer one to one instruction to all the children if or when needed.
I also wish to point out that our club which was established over 50 years ago, only runs on a Tuesday Evening at Turton Leisure centre.
Our lessons start at 6.30 pm
We do three 30 min lessons in the night
The first two sessions are for non swimmers up to stage 2/3 the third session which starts at 7.30 is for the more advanced swimmers
All lessons/sessions are £4.50 per week per child
I am currently inviting people from our waiting list to join
I would appreciate if you should get an invite that you answer as soon as possible

September will soon be here and we will be starting new children at the club. £4.50 per lesson. We are run entirely by volunteers and have been established over 50 years. We have qualified swimming teachers in and out of the pool. I am taking names on the list now. Don't delay, I wouldn't like to disappoint we only have a limited number of spaces.

If your looking for swimming lessons starting in Sep, we are taking names on to our waiting list. it is recommended that to avoid disappointment you respond quickly as we soon get full. Turton Swimming club provides affordable lessons for children from the age of 4

We award a swimmer of the week trophy each week in every session and we have two special trophies we award each year.
The Ron Hart shield presented in memory of our founder member and the John Dawson award that is awarded in the memory of one of longest serving volunteers.
We have qualified instructors and assistants amongst our volunteers, and we are all DBS checked.
We have two lifeguards on poolside, and qualified lifeguards amongst our volunteers
We follow the Swim England programme and then finish with the Rookie Lifeguard.
We charge
£15 annual membership and £4.50 per lesson.

We had our presentation night on Tuesday. All the children have worked so hard and everyone had earned at least one award.
We also announced our swimmers of the year and this years winner of the Ron Hart sheild. A tradition to end the year since 1974.
