Today 7 groups from around the district came together for a Cub Navigator Day at Bbby’s and it seems like a great time was had by all, enabling them to achieve their Navigator stage 2 badges. Well done to all the Cubs and leaders involved

Dear All,

We, the Trustees of Bolton Moorland Scout District, hereby give notice of our 2026 Annual General Meeting to which you are all invited.

Date: Thursday 15th October
Time: 7:30pm
Venue: 19th Bolton Scout HQ, Brookside, Ladybridge Lane, Bolton, BL1 5DE

There will be refreshments served, including pasties and peas.

Please make a note in your diary and let others know in your Groups.

Board of Trustees
We are looking to expand the Board of Trustees as there are only 5 of us at the moment. It is not an onerous job, we usually meet around 3-4 times a year. If you would like to nominate yourself or be nominated please do let us know so we can officially appoint at the AGM.

District Lead Volunteer
You will be aware that Kim's tenure comes to an end at the AGM. We hope that the new DLV will take over at the AGM, you have all received my email about the appointment process, the deadline for applications is Sunday 20th September.

We’re gearing up for a busy 2026 season and looking to grow our amazing volunteer team!

We’re currently recruiting Weekend Duty Staff – friendly faces who can help us give every group a great welcome.

As Duty Staff, you’ll:
Welcome groups to site
Help check out equipment
Support the shop
Assist with departures and getting the site ready for the next visitors

This is a flexible weekend role — you can volunteer for a full weekend or just a day, whatever works for you.

It’s a fantastic way to meet new people, support Scouting, and be part of something special — no two days are the same!
