What an incredible day of competition, sportsmanship and team spirit!

A huge thank you to all of the competitors, coaches, officials and spectators who helped make the very first WKKC Shobu Challenge such a fantastic success.

Our goal was to create something a little different alongside our established WKKC events, welcoming competitors of all experience levels into an exciting, supportive and professional tournament environment—and we couldn’t be happier with how the day unfolded.

The response has been amazing, and we’re delighted to confirm that the WKKC Shobu Challenge will be returning in 2027! 🙌

WKKC SHOBU CHALLENGE – THIS SUNDAY! 🥊

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the WKKC Shobu Challenge this weekend at:

📍 North Notts Arena, Worksop - S80 1QS

Please read the key event information below before travelling:

🚪 Doors Open: 8:30am
⚖️ Weigh In Closes: 9:30am
🥊 Tournament Starts: 9:30am

All competitors must have their SmoothComp ID ready.

🎟️ Spectator Entry: £15 cash only
Coaches’ wristbands will be available to collect from the spectator desk.

⚖️ Weight Allowance:
Novice / Intermediate sections: 1kg allowance
Advanced sections: 0kg allowance

We’ll be running 6 competition areas all day.

The full schedule and running order will be available to view online via SmoothComp on Saturday evening.

Wishing everyone a safe journey down to Worksop and an enjoyable day of competition on Sunday.

This marks our first WKKC event featuring Novice / Intermediate divisions, and the response has been incredible.

We already run two 1000+ entry events each year…
