Our offices remain open Monday to Friday, 9:30am โ€“ 4:00pm. While we may not always be able to offer same day appointments, our team will support you to find the best way forward for your situation.

Our Community Engagement team also continues to provide support across Bury through regular outreach sessions, so you can still access face to face advice and information locally.

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

Older people can be particularly vulnerable to financial abuse, scams, coercion, neglect and other forms of exploitation. Sadly, abuse can often go unnoticed, especially when it involves money, benefits, pensions or pressure from someone they know and trust.

At Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton, we understand the challenges that older people and their carers can face. Whether you're concerned about a scam, struggling with finances, need support with benefits or pensions, or are worried about someone you care about, we're here to provide free, confidential and independent advice.

If you're worried about yourself, a family member, friend or neighbour, don't ignore the signs. Seeking advice early can help people stay safe, informed and independent.

Let's work together to protect older people in our communities and ensure they are treated with the dignity, respect and support they deserve.
