🚶‍♀️A better connected Bolton town centre is on the way 🚴

Work is set to begin on major walking and cycling improvements in Bolton town centre, following the securing of more than £5 million in funding.

The investment will deliver upgraded streets, improved crossings, safer cycling routes and enhanced public spaces along Bradshawgate and Great Moor Street, making it easier and more enjoyable to move around the town centre.

As Bolton continues to regenerate and grow, creating high-quality, accessible and sustainable connections is an important part of building a place where people can thrive. Whether you're living in the town centre, commuting to work, studying, visiting friends, shopping in town or simply enjoying everything Bolton has to offer, these improvements will help create a safer, greener and more welcoming town centre for everyone.

The project is another step forward in Bolton's transformation, supporting our ambition to be a place where people choose to live, work, study, invest and visit.

Construction is due to begin on 12 October, with measures in place to keep disruption to a minimum while work is carried out.
