Join local employers, education and skills partners for a focused breakfast session to help shape the future skills priorities for Bolton.

This event will play a direct role in informing Bolton’s Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), ensuring it reflects real labour market needs and supports residents into meaningful employment and progression.

Through discussion and insight-sharing, we will:

A brand‑new opportunity is open to become the Programme Director for Bolton’s Creative People & Places programme, a major partnership project funded by Arts Council England.

This is a chance to shape something transformative: the Fabric of Bolton is a £1 million project, which over the next three years aims to bring together the communities, stories, landscapes, and unique character of Bolton into a vibrant mix of creative activities.

IRONMAN 70.3 was a record‑breaking weekend that proved once again, Bolton is Born to Perform!

Bolton hosted an unforgettable weekend of elite and community sport as Night Run Bolton UK, IRONKIDS Bolton and IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton welcomed more than 10,000 athletes, breaking the previous record of 8,000.

The action got underway on Friday evening as Night Run Bolton UK lit up the town’s streets, offering 5K and 10K routes for runners of all abilities. The vibrant atmosphere set the tone for a weekend packed with energy and community pride.

Saturday saw IRONKIDS Bolton take centre stage, attracting a record-breaking 6,000 children and young people. As the largest event of its kind in the world, it once again showcased Bolton’s ability to deliver inclusive, family-friendly sport on a global scale.

The weekend culminated on Sunday with the flagship IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton, drawing athletes from across the globe to test their endurance and compete for the coveted title.

It's a powerful reminder that in Bolton, success is in our DNA, and when we come together, there's no limits to what we can achieve.
