Rotary Bolton Lever

Rotary Bolton Lever We are a thriving, diverse and vibrant Rotary group, in Bolton, helping our communities. Rotary Club, named after Lord Leverhulme.

We help communities, both local and international, for example, by helping to run feed stations at the IronmanUK, and by helping to organise the health mela at Bolton University. We work closely with nearby Rotary clubs, in our district 1285.

🎉 Celebrating 23 Years of Service – Rotary Club of Bolton Lever - today’s our Birthday 🎉

Today marks a special milestone for us as we celebrate the founding of Rotary Bolton Lever on 7th June 2003.

For 23 years, our club has been proud to serve our community under the guiding principle of Service Above Self. From our beginnings to today, we have worked tirelessly to make a positive difference locally, nationally, and internationally.

Under the leadership of our current President, Christopher Hill, we continue to build on this strong legacy, check out some of our pictures from the last few years and you’ll see the fun we’ve had doing it.

💛 Locally, we’ve supported community groups, schools, and individuals in need—raising funds, organising events, and giving our time to make Bolton a better place for all.

🇬🇧 Nationally, we’ve contributed to wider Rotary initiatives, supporting charities and responding to causes that matter across the UK.

🌍 Internationally, we’ve played our part in global Rotary efforts—supporting humanitarian projects, disaster relief, and the ongoing fight to eradicate polio.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our members, past and present, and the incredible support from our community.

Here’s to 23 years of service, friendship, and impact and to many more years ahead!

There’s never been a better time to get involved with Rotary - drop us a message if you’d like to find out more.

Plant some of these beauties, you'll have colour all summer long and help the bees and other insects. Win-Win! Then why not enter your efforts in our Wildlife Friendly Garden Competition? You don't need a garden to enter - we have a category for yards, balconies etc!

These are some of the best, but there are many others; it's usually the double flowers where pollinators cannot get in. One of my favourite plants is the Begonia😍, which does not mean you cannot have them, just have more pollinator-friendly ones 🦋🐝
