Sending condolences to the family and friends of Cllr Chadwick. An exemplary public servant .

Very sad news today on the passing of Cllr David Chadwick. An absolute legend who served as Mayor of Bolton in 25/26 despite recovering from a life threatening illness. This was his crowning glory after a lifetime of service to the people of Westhoughton.
Our thoughts and prayers are with David's family at this sad time.
Rest in peace David and thank you.

It's heating up in Bolton, don't forget that simple adjustments like wearing thinner clothes, drinking more water and taking breaks can help if you are an office worker.

If you are outdoors , changes to working hours, head covers, more water and loo breaks may be necessary and remember your sunscreen too.

Watch out for signs of heat-related illness, such as dizziness, headaches, muscle cramps, nausea, confusion, and extreme tiredness.

If high temperatures are affecting your health or safety at work, speak to your manager, safety representative, or union rep.
