Islamic Relief is an international aid and development charity, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the world's poorest people. It is an independent Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984 by Dr Hany El Banna. As well as responding to disasters and emergencies, Islamic Relief promotes

sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities - regardless of race, religion or gender. This page is for;
- those who wish to support the work of Islamic Relief in the North West (IRNW),
- those who wish to keep up to date with the fundraising efforts of IRNW,
- and those who wish to transform lives by volunteering with the IRNW team. There are many opportunities to actively volunteer with Islamic Relief North West; from street collections to fundraising dinners, raising awareness to marketing and publicity, masjid appeals to charity challenges, leading your own fundraising events or contributing your own innovative ideas.
