Over 300 young people in Bolton aged 16–17 are NEET — the highest level since 2021. And for many, it’s that critical transition gap where life hits: poverty pressure, mental health strain, missed contact.

Great to meet Steve Priest from Ultimate Indoor Golf in Chester, alongside Roy Bannister from Iron Minds Academy. đŸ€

We introduced Steve to Genuine Futures CIC and We Shine Any Car 🚗✹ our youth-led social enterprise creating real work experience, confidence, skills and pathways into employment and enterprise.

We also spoke about our developing collaboration with the team at Inspiring Futures and our shared ambition to create more opportunities for young people across Chester and North Wales.

⚠ Too many young people are becoming NEET, disengaging from education or reaching crisis before the right opportunity reaches them.

We want to get there earlier. 💚
