There is a neighbourhood police drop-in surgery next Tuesday at 1pm if anyone has any concerns they'd like to discuss with the police. All welcome.

Can anyone identify the driver if this car? We believe they have ran a cat over on the street and didn't stop, narrowly missing children playing on the street.
We received this message:
"I know how powerful Facebook can be, I need the public's help - someone must know who this is or where it's parked. They have alloys on as well so it stands out, looks to be white driver. Please private message us if you know who it could be."

Please can everyone look out for this cat (pic had to be posted separately in comments on our page) -one of our members sent us the following:
"...My neighbour's 9 year old indoor cat has gotten out, she’s really upset because he’s a very timid cat and scares easily. Please can anyone up near the Withins Drive area keep an eye out for him (and anyone around Breightmet just incase he ventures further out).

Should we continue to control the consumption of alcohol in Bolton’s public places when it is linked to anti-social behaviour, crime and disorder?

It’s important to have your say because these powers are under review and the council needs to know whether there is public support to continue them.

They allow the police and authorised personnel to tell people to stop consuming alcohol if they are involved in anti-social behaviour, crime or disorder.

Major electricity works will be taking place on Blenheim Road (Bury Rd section) and on Bury Road right up to Ainsworth Lane, according to council, from next Monday 20th July and lasting throughout the summer holidays.
Bit of confusion about the dates but at some point Blenheim Rd will be closed between Long Lane and Bury Rd, we believe this is between 17th and 20th August, but the Bolton News reported this as July so TBC.

Please add extra time on to your journeys as there will be some delays, no doubt!
