We take Health and Safety very seriously at our event. Your safety and security is our number one priority. Here are some rules for our paid visitors:
Security: Bag checks in place, bring a rucksack or tote bag that you can carry with you, 20 litres or less (excluding medication or accessibility equipment). No large bags or cases, alcohol or prohibited items.
Throughout the event please follow all instructions from stewards and security personnel.
Please ensure you're wearing sensible footwear. The field may be wet and muddy if been raining.
First aid is available at the Community Centre . If you are feeling unwell, please let a steward or security officer know so they can help.
Please be wary and take care on uneven surfaces across the event site.
If you see any hazards or potential dangers, please report them to the nearest steward or security personnel.
We have taken reasonable steps to accommodate visitors with a mobility impairment where possible. Although personal walking aids, wheelchairs and mobility scooters will be welcome at the event, we will not be providing mobility aids on arrival.
Please do not go beyond any barriers or into the Fireworks drop Zone, barriers are there for your safety.
Do not leave bags or items unattended. Any bags or items that are left unattended may be searched and removed by security staff.
Familiarise yourself with the nearest exits to the site. In the unlikely event of an evacuation, please remain calm – our stewards and security personnel will direct you to the nearest exit.
Be prepared to pay by card. Some vendors will not accept cash.
WiFi will not be available at our event.
While entering and visiting our event , you agree to:
Provide your physical ticket for inspection. We don't accept e-tickets.
Comply with mandatory bag searches upon entry.
Not carry out any activity whilst on site which is damaging, dangerous, offensive, illegal or immoral. Abusive or violent behaviour to our stewards, security personnel or other visitors will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave immediately. Bolton-Le-Sands Bonfire and Fireworks committee and it's security partner, by their sole discretion, reserve the right to remove any individual from the event they reasonably suspect are posing a safety or security risk.
Smoking and va**ng is accepted but please respect other people around you.
Ensure visitors under 16 years of age are accompanied, at all times, by an adult
Not come with pets, except registered assistance or guide dogs.
Take photographs and videos for personal use only.
Not copy any material which is protected by copyright without the consent of the relevant copyright owner. If this occurs you may face criminal or civil penalties.
To ensure the safety and security for you and all our visitors throughout the event, the following items will be prohibited:
• bags larger than A4 size or over 20 litre capacity
• luggage
• alcohol
• BBQs
• restricted and illegal substances
• knives and offensive weapons
• items that are deemed dangerous, offensive or unsuitable
• drones or remote-controlled aircraft
• step ladders or any similar item which may obstruct another attendees’ view
• lasers
• fireworks, pyrotechnics and flares
• any items which might be used to undertake ambush marketing
• smoke canisters
• tents and shelters
• four-wheeled carry carts (excluding those used to carry children but they must be empty at the gate)
• powered scooters (excluding disability scooters) and hover boards
• electric or manual cycles (subject to availability, bicycle parking is available at the main entrance and are left at
the owner's risk)
• sun parasols
• any item which in the opinion of Bolton-Le-Sands Bonfire and Fireworks Committee and its security partner may be used for the purpose of protest within the event, including, but not limited to flags, clothing or any other item for the purpose of locking on.
There is no capacity on the site to store any prohibited items, including personal luggage, and they will be
disposed of by the security team if left at the gate.
