I decided in 2008 to rescue and rehabilitate horses and ponies that otherwise would not be given a chance to a peaceful retirement or peaceful life ahead in our youngsters cases. The inspiration to do so came from the beautiful Appaloosa mare I had rescued, "Harmony" her passport was fake saying she was 10years old, I was green to the levels of fraudulent info people will give U just to get rid of
an equine and after my vet saying she's at least 20years old, had a grade2 heart murmur and onset of arthritis, I realised the dishonest lengths people will go to when selling, loaning, sharing equines and how unscrupulous they are... that they can fake passports and pretend a horse is capable of any particular discipline when it's clearly not. This woke me up hugely and was the beginning of my journey to understand the horse to the best of my ability...
I give humans the chance to take a step back from your ego. I take on horses and ponies others wouldn't bother with. The team and I help humans with confidence building, mental and physical health stimulation by interacting with and caring for the herd.....
This bond can then go on to higher wellness and healing for both horse and human. I offer alternative "horsey time".
80% ground 20% saddle. I teach natural hosemanship. How to look after equines the way they need to be looked after as individuals. With such a large and unique herd there is so much to learn about, different breeds, natures, disciplines etcetc and environmental issues that can affect all things is an important awareness I can teach you too
