Saltwater Steppers went on tour to Brighton, to absorb the wonderful The Story Trail

Garmin map was plotted. A run of route of 16 miles of blue and green space and a little bit of town life too!

Found all big books (30) and a couple of little books as bonuses😊

So many great chats at the benches with strangers; making connection at its finest☺️

Highly recommend. Beautiful 🖼️
Wild in Art Amaze

Was lovely to see our local artist Ben Cav- ‘Keep it Fun ‘ bench 🤩

Challenge- strike a pose to reflect the story.

Ps. The photos don’t do the book benches justice, as they had pictures on the back and in the page folds. Stunning 🤩please vist them!!!

Summary of todays Beach Clean-
Wet, cold, determination, commitment, fresh, free, clean, connection, CAKE😂.
Thanks to the 5 troopers for committing to the cause!

Richard from @, and Adrain from - who kindly treated us to a well earnt cake at the The Lobster Pot! ( I think we needed hot soup!)

Every bit of rubbish taken off the beach helps, and we all felt like we had started the week with some good cold water therapy!😂

It was wonderful to be asked to be a judge alongside at the first Art Exhibition on Friday. Do check out all the amazing art and sessions they are running.

Saltwater Creations hopes to be back at Bognor Makerspace for some more beach themed community arts sessions, with our collected beach plastics!

'Big Business Beach Clean' in collaboration with AEK Accountants - 9-11am meet outside The Lobster Pot, Felpham.

Beach Clean- 9am-10am and business network coffees at The Lobster Pot 10am-11am.

Anyone in community is welcome to join us, even if you aren't a business!

Please bring gloves if you have and picker sticks and bags will be provided. All items found will be recycled or cleaned and upcycled into our community arts sessions.

Bonitos Blue Hub - for young people to come and create in the calm.🎨🌊⚓️

Great chats about animals and marine life whilst we painted and ate chocolate cookies! Thanks Bonito Lounge for hosting us all.

Seahorses featured quite a lot! Thanks to for attending and taking up the challenge to draw a Seahorse from memory!

Saltwater Sketchers, 10am-12noon, meet at the Boathouse Felpham. Bring your sketch book and come and sketch and chat with new people.

We are also looking forward to visiting the Pagham Rainbows, Lund House in Petworth, and the Bognor MakerSpace Art exhibition!

After a beautiful sunrise and 3 miles of 'Saltwater Steppers', 'Saltwater Sketchers' was all about 'twinning' today!

-Twin arm injuries
-Twin shell bags
-Twin rubbers
-Twin Octopus

What a fantastic morning of amazing art, laughs and chats. Thanks to local historian Endacott for the donation of old Bognor Calendar pictures. We are using these for inspiration and capturing the photos as paintings.

We loved the 1930 Lobster Pot photo 😮, but just couldn't conclude what was being sold/ hired next to the lady on the right????? Any ideas? Do let us know what you think....

Well done to the armless artists, who proved that their show, will still go on. 🤕💪❤️

There is no right or wrong in art..... just make it fun and let the marks unfold.🎨🌊🐙🌻🐚. Today was fun. Do join us at our next one on Friday 23rd October 2026 The Boathouse, Felpham. Anyone welcome to join in 10am-12 noon.

'Coast to the Chapel'- a wonderful morning of community connection, inspired by the coast at Chapel. Thanks to St. James's Place Foundation for supporting this session.

All art was created using upcycled beach plastics from Bognor and Littlehampton Beach.

Great chats about other local initiatives for making new connections through art- The Bognor Makerspace CIC A Creative Space - Chi.

Join us tomorrow for Saltwater Creations CIC 'Saltwater Sketchers'.

A free drop in community session, that meet The Boathouse, Felpham at 10am-12noon.
Bring a sketch book and and some money for a brew, and come and chat, sketch, meet new people, make new connections and be by the sea😌🌊.

All abilities welcome. Stay for as little or as long as you like!

If you are up earlier- do feel free to come for a walk/ jog/ run and get some steps in first!

Thank you to Regis Town Council Youth Grants, for a grant donation to help fund free sessions for young people through the year. 🎨🌊

Also a shout out to Grandad at , for donating in some second hand arts equipment and 'things with holes in' from his front room, so we can create some beautiful art from these.

We are always keen to up cycle in our sessions, so any donations of old plastic costume jewellery or things with holes in are always welcomed. Do get in touch if you would like us to get creative with some of your old plastics! [email protected]
