Calling all quilters we have some exciting news!

We have had an incredible donation of quilting weight cotton. These are really good quality and include brands such as Kaffe Fassett, Free spirit Fabrics, Moda etc.
Our fat quarter tub is fully stocked, and we have created a second one next to it. We have plenty of spares at the Scrapstore to keep it topped up.

And we have LOTS in storage waiting to come onto the shelves when there's space! So don't worry if we don't have the perfect fabric this time there will be a completely different mix next time you're in.

We also have some quilting patterns on the shelves as well as some quilting rulers/templates.

Keep an eye on Facebook there's more we haven't sorted but we will make a post when it's made its way to the Scrapstore.

We are open this afternoon (Wednesday) 3-7, Friday 10-2 and Monday 1-5.

Last year our volunteer Liana hand made over 150 decorations for her tree, so we've asked her to share some of her creative ideas with us in this session.
Who knows what you will find in our Aladdin's cave to inspire you?
(As you can tell from the image of some of her creations, Liana loves the traditional Christmas colours, but with the whole Scrapstore at your disposal, you are sure to find something to suit whatever colour scheme you have in mind!)

Today is National Reuse Day!

The Scrapstore is all about reuse, there are so many incredible craft supplies that end up in landfill. We are all about giving them the opportunity to be used to others and turned into something new.

These are all things made by our wonderful volunteers using resources from the Scrapstore. We hope they inspire you to create something from our incredible selection of supplies.

Looking for an activity to get the kids out the house this half term?

We still have lots of these C4 postage boxes.
These are perfect for posting small gifts. They are royal mail large letter size.

There are some on the table in amongst all the Christmas stuff but if you need more please ask a volunteer, we have plenty to go around!

We are open today (Wednesday) 3-7, Friday 10-2 and Saturday 17th 10-2.

Enjoy some time out from daily life at our next slow stitching group.

Slow Stitching is hand sewing that involves using bits and pieces of fabric, ribbon, lace, buttons, beads, trims and more to create fabulous pieces of fabric art. The idea is to slow down. Breathe. Create. Here are some of the things done during last months group.

Christmas Workshops are here!

We are kicking off our Christmas Workshops with Embroidered Christmas Cards.
We'll provide all the materials, including templates for a range of designs - trees, snowflakes, baubles, etc. You mark out your chosen image onto the card, and then sew into it with embroidery thread. Some designs have the option of beads or sequins.

Sunday 8th November 10-12. £12.50 members, £15 non-members.
