Cornwall Mind

Cornwall Mind Cornwall Mind provides a range of wellbeing services for people who experience mental health problems. We work throughout Cornwall.

Our Vision
We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. Our Mission
We endeavour to prevent those who are vulnerable from developing mental health issues. We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health. Our social

media community guidelines
We use social media to provide information and support about mental health problems, and to keep you, our supporters, up to date with our work and opportunities to get involved. It's also a place for people to share experiences if they wish, and to start wider conversations about mental health. It's important to us that our social media channels are a safe place for debate and conversation. To make this possible, we ask people to appreciate the sensitive nature of discussions and to follow the guidelines blow while interacting on our social media channels:

Be respectful of others and their opinions. Do not make personal attacks in your comments. Do not post content that is discriminatory, obscene, inflammatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, profane or personally abusive. Do not post anything that could be libellous or defamatory: if an accusation is made against a named person, for example at a member of staff at a service, we will hide it. Do not post content with explicit or technical detail of self-harm or su***de. Do not post adverts for commercial products or services. Do not post repeatedly about issues that are off-topic i.e spam

On Facebook we use filters to automatically hide obscenities, and will use our own discretion to hide comments that go against these guidelines. If we do so, we will comment to let you know this is the case, unless your comments have repeatedly contravened the policy and we have explained this to you previously. Your comment may still be visible to you, but won't be visible to others using the site. On rare occasions, we may block users from the page if the nature of their comments does not change, but we will always warn you of this and highlight our commenting guidelines before doing so. Facebook's general community guidelines should also be considered when using the site. Our social media channels are moderated on a part time basis. We do not provide a crisis service. Visit https://cornwallmind.org/urgent-help/ for crisis numbers. If you have questions, need support, or guidance please email us on: [email protected]. If you see something that doesn't seem right, or that makes you feel uncomfortable, do try and make us aware if you feel able to do so. We may not respond straight away but we will get back to you during the moderators work hours.

🌈 Pride Month 🌈

This Pride Month, Cornwall Mind stands with LGBTQIA+ communities across Cornwall and beyond. 💙

Pride is a celebration of identity, love, acceptance, and community - but it’s also a reminder of why safe, supportive spaces and open conversations around mental health are so important. Everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, and able to be themselves without fear of judgement.

At Cornwall Mind, we believe that nobody should have to face mental health problems alone. We’re committed to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where everyone feels supported and heard.

This month, and every month, we celebrate diversity, champion kindness, and stand together against stigma and discrimination.

Be proud of who you are. 💙

💙 Volunteers’ Week 💙

This Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible volunteers who support Cornwall Mind.

From helping at events and fundraising, to being trustees or ambassadors, or supporting our groups, book shop, and the office and media team - our volunteers play such an important role in everything we do. And make such a difference to the lives of people across Cornwall every single day.

Mental health support is about connection, compassion, and community, and our volunteers help create safe, welcoming spaces where people feel heard, valued, and less alone. We simply couldn’t do what we do without them.

Every conversation, every smile, every hour given helps support better mental health and wellbeing in our local communities.

To all our amazing volunteers - thank you for the care, energy, and heart you bring to Cornwall Mind. You truly make a difference. 💙
