One and All Lodge 330

One and All Lodge 330 The One and All Lodge of Freemasons No. 330 was established in 1810 and meets on the Second Monday of each Month at 7.15pm in Bodmin Cornwall.

The One and All Lodge No. 330 was established in 1810. The lodge was founded by the Royal Cornwall Regiment of Militia, meeting at the George Inn, Stratford, London in 1810. The lodge moved across England and Ireland with the regiment until 1814 when the lodge settled at Bodmin, Cornwall. Meeting's were held at the Queen's Head in Fore Street. In 1810 the lodge was known as the Royal Cornwall Lodg

e but it was renamed the One and All Lodge in 1830 when the lodge applied for a civilian warrant. The lodge moved to Freemasons Hall, St Nicholas Street in 1910 when the present building was constructed to celebrate their Centenary. The Lodge continues to flourish having a membership ranging between the ages of 21 and over 90.

This evening we celebrated 50 years of one of our most dedicated members, Bro. Colin Hooper.

Colin has served the Lodge as Almoner since 2016 also undertaking the role for St Enodoc Lodge for a similar length of time.

We were joined by W.Bro. Darren Stephens APGM and a number of Provincial Officers and guests from other Lodges.

In his role as Almoner Colin looks after the widows of members who are no longer with us and also members and their families who need a little bit of support.

Colin is always there to help a brother or their family when required, and his visits to W.Bro. Bob Johns keeps the lodge in touch with a member who has served 70years in Masonry and though no longer able to attend, is kept upto date with all of “goings on” through Colin and his wife’s visits.

Following the meeting, we dined at the amazing local Gem of Flory Restaurant and Cafe where Christmas Jumpers were the order of wear for the evening.

Each year we are proud to support the annual Christmas Tree festival at St. Petroc’s Church.

Why not pop in from Saturday and check out the fantastic trees from the local organisations.

A massive thanks to our Masters wife for decorating our trees.

Another chapter in the long history of One and All Lodge 330 was made last night.

27 members and guests, including our own Provincial Grand Master and Bro. Richard Martin were in attendance to see Bro. Steve Martin become our newest member. Having been proposed by a good friend Bro. Steve became a “Lewis” as his Dad Richard was already member.

We were also pleased to welcome guests from Newquay, Tintagel and Bro. Ossie Osman - pictured with our P.G.M who was on holiday from West Kent!

Our Master Malcolm Frost⁩ had great pleasure in presenting a cheque of £250 to Helen Bishop-Stephens Director of Bodmin Keep: Cornwall's Army Museum to go towards the urgent restoration work required to re-open the museum

One and All Lodge 330 has historic links to the Keep, being re-founded by members of Royal Cornwall Militia back in 1810, which formed the 3rd Battalion Duke of Cornwalls Light Infantry in 1881.

Helen and the team were really interested in learning more about our Links to the Royal Cornwall Militia and ours and theirs joint early history.
