Grab you sketch pad, pencils and rubber and come to art club on23rd June! we are learning how to draw a Lemur using a freehand technique. we wont be getting bogged down in every hair detail, we will focus on tonal values, realistic eyes and soft fur shadows.

Tuesday 12th May we will be practicing our drawing skills using a grid method to draw a big horn sheep, this kicks off the next few sessions based on North America. hope to see you there!

Tuesday 28th April, we are painting in acrylic! The final choice for the Mediterranean theme; A Bee Eater bird. Colours you will need for this are Cadmium yellow, Cadmium Red, Burnt sienna, White, Paynes Grey, and finally Phthalo Turquoise (which is more unusual so I can provide this colour to those who don't have it) hope you can join us!

Something a little bit different, we will be drawing in negative on black paper with white chalk. We will be drawing the light and leaving the black of the paper as the shadows instead of the other way around! This Japanese style teapot has lots of interesting shapes and perspective angle. Black paper and Chalk will be provided for you on this occasion.

Kicking off the new year, on tuesday 20th Jan we are painting an English thatched cottage in Watercolour! We will be continuing our travels around the world exploring different subjects from different countries, animals, florals, buildings and landscapes.

Our exhibition at Russell's hall hospital has ended now thanks to all who came by and had a look, and congratulations to those who sold their artwork! These are the paintings that sold and are on their way to their new homes shortly!
