A huge congratulations to our fantastic Design Technology Technician, Mr Woodward, who had the honour of being invited to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday in recognition of his outstanding services to the Duke of Edinburgh Award over many years.
Through countless hours of volunteering, dedication, and selfless commitment, he has given up his own time to support and inspire young people, helping generations of children experience the great outdoors and develop confidence, resilience and unforgettable memories.
A truly well-deserved recognition for someone who goes above and beyond. We are incredibly proud!

Year 10 HLPS students had an inspiring day at Oriel College, where they learned more about applying to university, explored different courses, and picked up tips on how to stand out through supercurricular activities. They also took part in hands-on workshops and enjoyed a tour of the college, getting a real feel for university life.

The visit encouraged students to broaden their aspirations, challenge themselves academically, and begin shaping ambitious pathways for their futures

Year 9 and 10 students recently visited the Walsall Council House following their trip to the Houses of Parliament, where they met the Mayor of Walsall. They explored the Mayor’s Parlour, Ante Room and Council Chamber, and had the chance to ask questions about her role. It was a great opportunity to build their understanding of local government, democracy and how young people can get involved in civic life. We’re very grateful to the Mayor for such an engaging visit.

A huge thank you to Dr Rattenberry for guiding students through what can be a daunting process and helping them feel more confident in their preparation.
