We have been advised of the following road closures in the parish and surrounding areas over the next few weeks. Please plan your journeys accordingly.

October

- 23/10/26 8.30am – 3.30pm. Chapel Lane, Blockley. For drain cover repair works by Gloucestershire County Council.

November

- 09/11/26 – 13/11/26 Railway Line, Paxford. For new water connection works by Thames Water.
- 09/11/26 – 11/11/26 May Lane, Ebrington. For installation of internet network works.
- 23/11/26 – 25/11/26 Church View to Middle Road, Aston Magna. For fire hydrant repair work by Thames Water.

Running from 24th October to 1st November, Gloucestershire County Council is organising a countywide programme that provides children and young people with opportunities to enjoy healthy meals, stay active and entertained during the school holidays for free.

There are no eligibility requirements for the inclusive initiative which remains separate from the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. All children and young people living in the county will be able benefit from support, regardless of their circumstances.

Free Travel Bursary for Young People in Gloucestershire.

As part of The One Plan from Gloucestershire County Council young people have highlighted that travel can be a significant challenge for them. Limited routes and cost of tickets can make it hard for young people to meet friends, access services or travel to school, work and college.

A Free Travel Bursary Scheme is now available to young people across Gloucestershire.

The bursary aims to help young people feel more connected and supported by reducing some of the barriers that travel costs can create. It is also an opportunity to understand the difference that access to free transport can make to young people’s lives.

Who can apply?
Young people aged 14–25 who live in Gloucestershire can apply for a travel bursary.

Applications can be made in several ways:
A young person can apply for themselves.
A family member can apply on their behalf.
A professional, such as a youth worker or teacher, can make a referral.
