Blewbury Amazons Girls F.C

17/10/2026

Sunshine = Funtime for the glorious Amazons in action today!

🌪️U10 Nemeses
💛💙 Another superb game for U10 Nemeses today !💙💛

The girls continue their brilliant form in the A league against Abingdon! ⚽️👏

Some superb football on show today! These girls continue to be amazing, work so well together as a team and give it their all every week.

👻 U11 Phantoms
The Phantoms played away at Tower Hill stripes.

Our coach says the team defended like lions to get a clean sheet, and the worked hard out of possession.

Both teams had spells in the match and it was a very even contest.

🪶U12 Falcons
Falcons travelled down to Slough this morning for the County Cup against Bucks Ravens and put on a brilliant display coming away 6-0 winners.

Some beautiful goals and a real show of how far the girls have come as a team against a well organised passing team.

⚡️U14 Avengers
The Avengers were beaten at Bletchley Scot in the County Cup.

🐆U15 Panthers
A 6-0 win for the Panthers v Stony Stratford in our first ever county cup match. We played some nice football, passed the ball around well and scored some good goals.

We were really pleased with the whole team and look forward to the next round.

🥷U17 Assassins
The Assassins lost 1-0 to Vision FC in their last cup group game. A great performance from them.

Whatever the scoreline success=smiles. 👏

11/10/2026

A blustery morning for our Amazons in action yesterday but the girls didn’t let the weather stop them from having some great fun!

🌪️U10 Nemeses
An exciting (and slightly close! ) game today against Kidlington ! 💛💙

100% effort from every single player, right until the final whistle. The coaches are in awe of the determination, composure and belief these girls have. They kept their heads, passed some beautiful football and never gave up.

A special mention to our GK Ella, who pulled off some outstanding saves in goal to keep us in the game, and to our unbreakable double duo at the back, Eden and Roma. 🧱💪🏼

The defending was absolutely incredible.

👻 U11 Phantoms
The Phantoms kept up their recent good form against Brackley.

The girls were excellent in many aspects of the game today, according to the coaches, highlighted by the defensive work as a team in the last 5 minutes.

Our Phantoms have changed their approach recently, really emphasising on the passing football, and they’ve really bought into it, playing some excellent stuff over the past few weeks.

🪶U12 Falcons
A very close fought game for The Falcons today drawing 0-0 to a very well organised Launton side.

We had the chances to win the game but it just wasn’t to be with the post and some very determined defending being the difference.

☣️ U13 Rebels
The Rebels played Vertue Academy in the JPL cup with a brilliant performance to win the game 7-3 👌👍

⚡️U14 Avengers
Avengers got their first league win of the season with a gutsy performance against Witney.

We were 1-0 down at half time due to an unlucky deflection from a clearance.

We dominated possession in the second half and fought back to 1-1 then won it in the last minute with a superb shot into the top corner.

So pleased the girls finally got a well-deserved win after a few unlucky results.

🐆U15 Panthers
A 3-1 loss for Panthers at Kings Sutton.

A below par first half saw us three down at half time. A better second half, we created plenty of chances but was one of those days where none of them were going in.

The girls battled to the end though and got a late consolation goal.

🦅U16 Eagles
The Eagles lost 8-0 to Ardington and Lockinge, but showed great team spirit to keep battling away to the end despite only having 10 players.

Whatever the scoreline success=smiles. 👏

There were some unbelievable displays on show from our amazing Amazons today.

🌪️U10 Nemeses
A great game today from the U10 Nemeses against a competent Wantage Town side.

After a slow start, we got ourselves back in the game before going on to dominate with some great passing and movement, scoring some excellent team goals.

👻 U11 Phantoms
The Phantoms played away at Goring this morning. To keep the game on we had to loan a couple of players to the opposition.

All the girls played fantastic and we came away with some cracking goals!

🪶U12 Falcons
An early morning trip to Oxford Blackbirds this morning.

A strong physical side, the girls matched that and put on a brilliant performance coming away 5-0 winners.

⚡️U14 Avengers
Our Avengers won 4-0 in a friendly against Quarry Rovers.

Coaches were really proud of the effort from the whole team today with only one sub and missing our regular goalie.

Solid defending all game and really nice passing in midfield leading to some well taken goals.

🐆U15 Panthers
1-1 for Panthers at Didcot. Really proud of the performance with no subs and girls having to play out of position.

It was a good competitive match with every girl stepping up and working hard for the team.

🥷U17 Assassins
A depleted Assassins lost to Wimborne.

Whatever the scoreline success=smiles. 👏

27/09/2026

On a gorgeous Saturday morning, our wonderful Amazons continued their enjoyable starts to the season.

🌪️U10 Nemeses
A well-played game from the U10 Nemeses against Radley!

A slightly slow start from us, but we created loads of chances and kept working hard. Two excellent goals got us on the scoresheet, and from there we really grew into the game.

We also ran a very successful tuck shop at Blewbury and made £125!

Thanks to the parents for their help in running this ⭐️

👻 U11 Phantoms
The Phantoms lost suffered late heartache against Chipping Norton.

Our girls played well and I thought this was the week for our first win in a while, but it wasn’t to be.

🪶U12 Falcons
Our Falcons came away 8-1 winners against Quarry.

Slow to find our rhythm but the girls took everything onboard at half time, stopped forcing it and made the difference with some beautiful football in the second half.

⚡️U14 Avengers
The Avengers lost 2-1 to a very well organised Mansfield Road team.

They were level at 1-1 after a closely contested first half.

In the second half we had 12 shots to their one and played some nice football but just couldn’t get it in.

The coaches can’t fault the energy and commitment and if we keep playing like this the wins will start coming.

🐆U15 Panthers
An 8-0 win for Panthers v Abingdon.

A really pleasing team performance where we created plenty of chances and scored some good goals.

Credit to Abingdon who kept battling to the end.

🦅U16 Eagles
The Eagles lost 6-2 to Donnington, but a performance to be proud of.

We only had 9 available , but they worked so hard for each other and drew the second half 2-2, which gives us something to build on.

A big thank you to Donnington for matching numbers and for other aspects that were out of our control as well!

Whatever the scoreline success=smiles. 👏

19/09/2026

The football season felt like it had well and truly started today, with the weather feeling a bit more autumnal, and our girls are loving it!

🌪️U10 Nemeses
A great match for the for the U10 Nemeses at Oxford Blackbirds!

A really solid first-half performance from the girls, with some excellent football and plenty of attacking pressure. We created lots of chances, but huge credit to the Blackbirds goalkeeper, who was epic! 👏🏼
Well done, Nemeses -another great team effort! 💛💙⚽️

And what an exciting day it was as we debuted our brand-new away kit, proudly sponsored by Octopus Energy! 🐙⚡️
Don’t they look fab!😍🤍

🪶U12 Falcons
Falcons came away 12-1 winners away at Thame today.

A great team performance, many players got to play in different positions and some fantastic worked goals.

☣️ U13 Rebels
Rebels played Oxford City in the county cup today winning 4-0 👍

⚡️U14 Avengers
Our Avengers lost 4-1 to Launton today. The scoreline didn’t reflect the effort or performance. We dominated possession in the first half and could have been ahead by 3 or 4 but couldn’t take our chances. We conceded a couple of soft goals despite playing really well generally and created lots of chances so lots of positives to take into the rest of the season.

🐆U15 Panthers
Fantastic team performance today for the U15 Panthers to come away with a 1-0 win against a strong Summertown team. We’re really proud of their girls work ethic and never give up attitude every week!

🥷U17 Assassins
The Assassins lost away to Arsenal FC today in a JPL Cup Group game.

Whatever the scoreline success=smiles. 👏

Loads of our teams enjoying some fantastic football today. Thank you once again to everyone that made it happen !

🌪️U10 Nemeses
A brilliant first game back at home today, for the U10 Nemeses with against Thame and a really impressive start to the new season! 👏🏼

Huge congrats to our 2 new signings who made their debut today too. 💙💛

👻 U11 Phantoms
The Phantoms played away at Wantage. Slow start but a much improved second half and development game. Ended the morning on a high note which we can hopefully take into next week.

🪶U12 Falcons
Our Falcons came away 4-0 winners against Summertown today.

Brilliant team performance, absolutely solid at the back and some brilliantly worked goals. If it wasn’t for their goalkeeper who made number of fantastic saves it should have been alot more, she was unbelievable.

⚡️U14 Avengers
The Avengers drew 1-1 against Berinsfield. Very even and competitive game and both teams had chances to win it but a draw was a fair result.

Solid start in our first game of the season with a new squad and really pleased with the way the girls are starting to gel as a team.

🐆U15 Panthers
A 1-0 defeat for U15’s Panthers today.

Another good performance, and on another day we would have scored 6!

🦅U16 Eagles
The Eagles lost 7-0 away to Bicester. Despite the scoreline, the coaches say that they saw progress from last week, going over 30 minutes without conceding a goal in the middle of the match and
we played some nice football in patches.

We’re really proud of the girls' commitment and effort. The improvement necessary to compete at this level will come!

🥷U17 Assassins
Our Assassins lost to Ascot United in JPL Cup group.

Whatever the scoreline success=smiles. 👏
