Another busy and fun filled CoderDojo this morning. We got the Microbits out and coded a game of rock, paper, scissors and a meteor game on them, then we got some electronics going to turn them into a fan controller. We also had Python being written with games of Robot Top Trumps and recreating a Spirograph in Python.
We love seeing the ninja’s getting stuck in and making their own programs up, often teaching our mentors a few things along the way!

Last session of the year and we turned the meeting room into a winter wonderland! We made interactive Christmas cards and games in Scratch, used the Microbits to make colourful Christmas cards and created Christmas scenes on the SenseHat and Raspberry Pi.
We wish all our ninjas and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’ll see you back on Sunday 26th January 🎄🎅🏼⛄️

Our last sessions saw us making a lot of noise! We had rock bands being formed in Scratch, tunes being played on the Microbits, creating music using SonicPi and Paul brought in his programmable drum machine! We kept the library as a quiet room, headphones were required. All our ninja’s did so well creating music and learning about sound 👍

We had a great session this morning and we’re so proud of all our ninjas! All of them managed to write a program in Python using the SenseHat that they submitted to be sent up to the ISS! Paul brought in his Raspberry Pi with a SenseHat on so we could see our code running before we submitted it. Thank you to all mentors and ninja’s who turned out today 👍
