Bletchingley Community Choir

Bletchingley Community Choir was established in February 2011. We meet every Tuesday evening from 7.15-9.15pm at Bletchingley Village Primary School.

We welcome everyone regardless of musical ability - we learn by ear and enjoy a varied mix of songs. This contemporary choir welcomes new members, young and old alike, be they first time singers, those with some experience, or professional singers. No audition is necessary and no need to read music - the choir meets for the joy of singing.

What an absolute joy it was to welcome Anna Tabbush back to the choir last night, it was a very well attended evening and the room was filled with some beautiful singing.
We worked our way through a selection of songs Anna has written and arranged including, ‘Heartsong’, ‘We are animals’ and the song ‘Harbour’ that has now been sung by over 1000 choirs worldwide and still stands as a real favourite of ours.

We're counting down to another great evening of music in our village. Anna Tabbush, our original singing leader and joint founder of the choir is back to run a singing/music workshop this coming Tuesday (14th July).

Well done to everyone who made it out last night for our rehearsal - it was a hot one for sure. Take some time today to cool off and stay chilled.

We'll be doing another push to invite people along next week for the next stage of our 15th year anniversary so we'll need everyone to be on top form!

As part of our ongoing celebrations in our 15th year we are pleased to be welcoming Anna Tabbush back for a singing workshop. Anna was our original singing leader and is well known as a composer, choir conductor, singer and multi-instrumentalist. We often benefit from her beautiful musical arrangements and we perform songs specifically written by her for community choirs.

Anna's workshops are fun, full of pace and guaranteed to fill your soul with song, get your feet tapping and you'll almost certainly come away with a smile on your face.

Do please let us know if you'd like to come along - it's £10 cash on the door but we'd love to get numbers ahead of the event so we can be sure to accommodate you.

Thank you once again to the fabulous team who each year work hard to make the Bletchingley Village Fair such an enjoyable event.
This year was just especially great with perfect weather (maybe a bit blowy - evidence at the end of our film) with the perfect mix of stands, stalls, food, drink and of course, cake!
We did our best to entertain and hope all those who played our game had a good time (well done to Imogen who managed to stand 31 of our wooden choir members). See you next year.

With glorious weather forecast for this weekend, make sure you join us on Grange Meadow, Bletchingley for some fun in the sun.

We'll be performing at 13.15 and again at 14.00 and when we're not singing, join us on our stand where we once again invite you to play our popular 'build a choir' game where you could win a prize. Deceivingly simple and simply addictive - be sure to bring your £1 coins to have a go. How many members can you stand up in 30 seconds?
