The Bloomers were busy at the Bridge Bed on Monday planting lots of Dahlias. Work party no.2 were weeding and tidying Berries and Cherries, the strawberries, raspberries and Rhubarb are coming along. On Tuesday a couple of Bloomers were at the Reform Street Beds filling some gaps. Everything is looking pretty.

It’s been all change at the train 🚂 this week as well. Bloomers were out in the sun (between showers!) on Tuesday to put the summer planting in the train. The Sweet William from the train was moved to the Moyness bed 🤞they survived the move.

What a day of weather 🌧️, hail, wind then lovely sunny evening. We’re delighted the hanging baskets are up and thank you to all that have commented on them especially sarah cave silversmith , Miller Gerrard Solicitors and Estate Agentsand D.G Garden Care for sharing photographs, and to David and his team for hanging them. Elm drive roundabout has lovely wild flowers out just now. 😀We also managed to plant up the railings at the bus stance so the town should be full of colour!

We’re feeling excited as the hanging baskets will go up next week (June 10th) There are approximately 120 baskets across Blairgowrie and Rattray, with large baskets hanging at Rattray Cross and the Wellmeadow. Many of our baskets are sponsored by local businesses and we are very grateful for that 🙏 However a number, such as those across the bridge, Rattray Cross and Wellmeadow gates, are not. If anyone would like to sponsor a basket we would be very appreciative. We’re asking £45 a basket, though a donation of any amount is very welcome. Please contact us if you’re interested.

Thank you to everyone who came and said hello to us at our plant stall this morning. Many of you bought lovely plants and many of you donated money. We are so grateful 🙏 Thank you to Castlewater for the use of their carpark beside Tesco. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers of Blairgowrie and Rattray in Bloom for their hard work lifting, shifting,transporting, selling and clearing it all away! 👏👏 We are delighted that we made over £600. We had 2 Salix (willow) trees donated that didn’t sell (they are quite large!) £20 each if anyone is interested ( local delivery for an extra donation may be possible) See photos 🌳please contact us through Facebook if you’re interested.
