Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Climate Café

Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Climate Café The Climate Café is an open group for anyone with a concern about our changing climate and ideas about what we could do together locally.

We have already taken on a few initiatives including work on safe multi-user tracks linking Blair, Coupar Angus and Alyth to encourage active travel and less dependence on cars and a home energy advice and carbon literacy project covering Rattray and the Glens. There are lots of other ideas (community garden, car sharing, fruit sharing etc), all enriched by whoever comes along. We aim to be a can

do - will do group. All who share our aims are very welcome. We currently meet on the third Wednesday of each month @ The NEST, Blairgowrie from 7pm till 8.30pm. 🌍✨ Next Monday, 17th March, will be our Climate Café meeting where we will be crafting!✨🌍

📍 Location: NEST Creative Spaces
⏱️ Time: 7pm to 8.30pm

Join us for our next Climate Cafe meeting on Monday, 17th March at 7pm at NEST Creative Spaces. This time, we’re getting creative with a craft session to reflect on what Earth Day means to us.

🌱 Craft materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies and creativity! Let’s come together, share ideas, and make something with our planet in mind. 🌏💚

🎨 On Earth Day itself (22nd April), we hope to display or share images of our crafts to encourage and inspire others to think more about the planet we live on and why it’s so important.

Don’t miss out — everyone is welcome! Let’s craft, connect, and make a difference!

If you take a bag of apples home with you, please do remember to return the bag afterwards! 😊
And on the topic of apples, if you didn’t already know, we will be apple pressing in the Wellmeadow at Blairgowrie Farmers Market this Saturday (26th October) from 9.30am. So don’t forget your empty bottles and apples, and come get some freshly pressed apple juice!! 🍎 🧃 🍏

🍏 Calling All Apple Enthusiasts 🍏

We hope Apples Galore continues to be a community favorite, and it’s wonderful to see how much everyone appreciates the free apples distributed around town.

However, we seem to have hit a little snag — we’re running low on our reusable apple bags because not enough are being returned. Remember, these bags are essential for keeping our apple supply going strong. Without them, our operation hits a roadblock.

Please:

- Return the reusable apple bags back to the Wellmeadow or bottom of Boat Brae.

- Encourage others to do the same.

Let’s make sure we can continue sharing the apple abundance! Huge thanks to our generous apple donors and tireless volunteer pickers. Your efforts keep the spirit of Apples Galore alive, despite the challenges.

Let’s keep the apple love going! 🍎❤️
