Firstly, thanks to all those who came along to the apple pressing event with Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Climate Café at Blairgowrie’s Farmers and Produce Market in Blairgowrie, and either donated apples for apple juice, took some apple juice home with them, or were keen to just watch the process! We hope to be able to do it all again next year!

Unfortunately, we’ve had to remove the apple drop-off point in the Wellmeadow (opposite Davidson’s chemists) after reports of antisocial behaviour and apples being thrown.
A huge thank you to everyone who’s donated and shared apples so generously this season - your kindness has helped many enjoy local fruit that might otherwise have gone to waste 🍏🍎
We hope this is just a temporary blip and look forward to returning to community apple sharing next season.

Please give our Apples Galore page a follow for any future updates. If you feel like you might want to volunteer with us next year, then do drop us a message 😊

In case you haven’t spotted them yet, crates are now out at the Wellmeadow (opposite Davidson’s Chemists) for anyone wishing to donate or share apples with the community!
If you have any reusable bags to spare, you can still leave your apples in them in the usual places at the Wellmeadow or Boat Brae – we hope they’ll still be returned for reuse.

🍏 APPLE PRESSING 🍏

We will also be apple pressing with Blairgowrie, Rattray and District Climate Café on Saturday 27th September from 9.30am at Blairgowrie’s Farmers and Produce Market. All for free, though donations are accepted should you wish to donate 😊
👉 Bring your apples and clean empty bottles to get some delicious fresh juice 🍎

🍏 Calling All Apple Enthusiasts 🍏

We hope Apples Galore continues to be a community favorite, and it’s wonderful to see how much everyone appreciates the free apples distributed around town.

However, we seem to have hit a little snag — we’re running low on our reusable apple bags because not enough are being returned. Remember, these bags are essential for keeping our apple supply going strong. Without them, our operation hits a roadblock.

Please:

- Return the reusable apple bags back to the Wellmeadow or bottom of Boat Brae.

- Encourage others to do the same.

Let’s make sure we can continue sharing the apple abundance! Huge thanks to our generous apple donors and tireless volunteer pickers. Your efforts keep the spirit of Apples Galore alive, despite the challenges.

Let’s keep the apple love going! 🍎❤️
