πŸ’™ Happy Father's Day! πŸ’™

Today we celebrate all the dads, grandads, stepdads, father figures and special men who have helped shape our lives with their love, support, guidance and encouragement.

Father's Day is a chance to say thank you for the advice, the laughs, the stories, the helping hands and simply being there when needed most. The impact fathers and father figures have on our lives is often felt every day, even in the little things.

Whether you're spending the day enjoying a family meal, taking a walk, watching a favourite film, firing up the barbecue, or connecting with loved ones from afar, the most important gift is time spent together and the memories you create.

Today, let's take a moment to recognise and appreciate the fathers and father figures who make a difference in our lives.

From everyone at N-Vision, we wish you a wonderful Father's Day. πŸ’™

πŸ‘–πŸ˜„ National Wrong Trousers Day πŸ˜„πŸ‘–

It's time to swap your usual trousers for something a little more unusual and celebrate National Wrong Trousers Day!

Inspired by the much-loved Wallace & Gromit film The Wrong Trousers, this fun and light-hearted day encourages everyone to wear their most colourful, quirky or mismatched trousers while raising awareness and supporting good causes.

Whether it's bright colours, crazy patterns, odd combinations or simply your most outrageous pair of trousers, today is all about having a laugh and bringing a smile to people's faces.

Originally launched as a fundraising event, National Wrong Trousers Day continues to remind us that a little fun can go a long way in supporting others and strengthening our communities.

So, what are your "wrong trousers" of choice today? Let us know in the comments – bonus points for photos! πŸ“ΈπŸ‘–

Today is all about enjoying good food and good company in the great outdoors as we celebrate International Picnic Day.

With June bringing longer days and (hopefully!) some sunshine, it's the perfect opportunity to gather with friends, family, or neighbours and enjoy a picnic in your favourite spot.

Of course, if the weather decides not to cooperate, you can still join in the fun indoors. Simply lay out a blanket, prepare some tasty treats, and create your own picnic experience at home.

So pack your basket, grab your sandwiches, and make the most of International Picnic Day!

πŸ“πŸ₯ͺβ˜• Where would be your ideal picnic spot?

πŸ’™ Loneliness Awareness Week: 15–21 June πŸ’™

This week is Loneliness Awareness Week, a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness of loneliness and encouraging people to make meaningful connections within their communities.

Humans are hardwired to need connection. We all experience loneliness from time to time, but for some people it can become a regular part of life and have a serious impact on both mental and physical wellbeing.

Despite living in a world that seems more connected than ever, loneliness is becoming increasingly common. Recent research has even suggested that the effects of chronic loneliness can be as harmful to our health as smoking.

That's why Loneliness Awareness Week is so important. It's a chance to start conversations, raise awareness, and encourage communities to come together to support one another.

At N-Vision, our Befriending Service helps people living with sight loss stay connected, build confidence, and enjoy regular social contact through friendly visits, phone calls, and companionship.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our Befriending Service, we'd love to hear from you.

πŸ“ž Call us on 01253 36 26 96 to find out more.

Together, we can help make sure no one faces loneliness alone.
