💙 A LITTLE SATURDAY REMINDER 💙

“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” — Leonard Cohen

None of us gets through life without a few cracks.

There are weeks that test us, moments that change us and days when simply carrying on takes more strength than anyone else can see.

But difficult times do not erase the possibility of better ones.

Sometimes the light comes back slowly — through a conversation, a bit of laughter, someone checking in, or simply finding the strength to try again.

So whatever kind of week you’ve had, be kind to yourself this weekend.

You don’t have to be completely healed to notice the light coming back in. 💙

Have a good weekend from everyone at Frankie’s.

💙 THINKING ABOUT COMING TO FRANKIE’S? THIS IS YOUR SIGN. 💙

You don’t need a referral.
You don’t need to have the right words.
You don’t even need to know what you want to say.

Just come along.

Frankie’s is about connection, conversation, support and being around people who get that sometimes life can feel heavy.

Have a brew. Have a chat. Have a laugh. Sit quietly if you want to.

No pressure. No judgement. Just people.

😩 MONDAY BAD DAD JOKE 😩

Here we go again…

What do you call a fish wearing a bow tie?

🎀 Sofishticated.

Yes. That really is the joke. 😂

If that made you groan, then Monday has officially begun.

Have a good one from everyone at Frankie’s 💙

💙 It’s the little things…

Somewhere along the way, the original balls we used at Frankie’s disappeared. They’d been part of the group for a long time, so we’d been meaning to replace them.

Then one of the guys spotted these.

He saw the name Frankie and thought they were absolutely perfect for the group — so he picked them up for us.

It might seem like such a small thing, but it really isn’t.

Frankie’s has always been about people looking out for one another, noticing the little things and doing something simply because they care.

So, meet the newest members of Frankie’s. 💙

Connection. Kindness. Community. That’s what Frankie’s is all about.

Frankie’s exists because some losses change everything.

They leave questions that may never be fully answered, an empty chair, memories that hurt, and a space in a family that can never truly be filled.

But Frankie’s was never meant to be only about loss.

It is about what we do next.

Tomorrow is World Su***de Prevention Day, and for us that means something very simple: making sure that people who are struggling know there is somewhere they can go and someone willing to listen.

Somebody who feels completely alone should have somewhere to turn.

Somebody who thinks nobody would understand should find people prepared to sit beside them.

Somebody who feels like a burden should be reminded that they matter.

Frankie’s will be meeting tomorrow evening:

📍 Blackpool Recovery Hub
🕔 Thursday, 5:30pm

You do not need to be at a breaking point to come.
You do not need the right words.
You do not need to explain everything.

You can simply turn up.

Because sometimes hope begins with something incredibly small:

A conversation.
A cup of tea.
Someone remembering your name.
Someone noticing you have gone quiet.
Someone asking, “How are you really doing?” — and staying long enough to hear the answer.

We cannot change what has already happened.

But in Frankie’s name, we can keep trying to create a place where people feel seen, heard and less alone.

Tomorrow evening, the door is open.

And if you are reading this wondering whether Frankie’s is really for you, this is your sign:

Come anyway.

Come if you are struggling.
Come if you are lonely.
Come if you are worried about somebody else.
Come if you just need to be around people who understand.

You do not have to walk through the door feeling strong.

You just have to walk through it.

💛 Frankie’s — because connection matters.

Not Every Battle Needs Fighting 💭

There will always be things going on around us that we can’t control.

Disagreements. Difficult conversations. Other people’s decisions. Sometimes even a little bit of drama.

The temptation is to get dragged into it. To react. To argue. To spend our energy trying to prove a point.

But not every battle needs fighting.

Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is stay calm, look after each other and keep our attention on what actually matters.

People. Connection. Community.

Protect your peace. Save your energy for the things — and the people — that deserve it.

Wherever we meet, Frankie’s will still be Frankie’s. 💙

Have a peaceful weekend, you wonderful human beings.

“The greatest tribute to those we’ve lost is not in how often we mourn them, but in how deeply we choose to love because of them.”

Three years ago today, I held my daughter’s hand and said goodbye.

Frankie died at just 19 years old—an age when most people are only beginning to dream about the life they hope to live.

Her body died that day, but her spirit lives on.

At Frankie’s, we strive every day to keep her values alive: a place where everyone is accepted without judgement or prejudice; where every person is heard; where kindness comes first; and where hope is never lost.

Frankie’s fighting spirit continues to shine through in the belief that people can change, that everyone deserves to express themselves, and that, through courage and resilience, tomorrow can be better than today.

Fly high, Frankie.

Forever loved. ❤️ xx

Thursday is Frankie’s night.

If the week has felt heavy, if your head has been noisy, or if you’ve been carrying more than people realise — come and sit with us.

No pressure. No judgement. No need to have the right words.

Just a room full of people who understand that life can be hard, and that connection matters.
