Sending much love and thanks from all of us at Queensway Pre-school and our charity 'Poulton Pre-School and Toddler Association.'

Our charity was formed in 1966 supporting the families and children of Poulton and surrounding areas. It was formed by parents and ran by parent committees who have continued to work tirelessly to keep this unique setting going for so long for the community as an alternate choice for parents.

Due to the impact of covid, underfunding, increased costs and other issues, the charity has had no choice but to dissolve.

Queensway pre-school was a truly special place, whose fundamental family values, inclusivity and unique child- centred approach made it an amazing place to be.

With the closure, Poulton has lost an 'Outstanding' setting and a fantastic team of passionate, loyal and dedicated practitioners. They provided the most beautiful learning environments, experiences and nurturing relationships to ensure every child could thrive and be confident.
If your child attended Queensway... you felt the magic.✨️

We wish our team the very best of luck for the future.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone, especially our current committee and families. We have received so many cards, gifts, and kind words of support and love.

Pre- School may have gone, but it will forever hold a very special place in all of our hearts.

**Public notice**
It is with great sadness that we are announcing the closure of our beloved Preschool.

Queensway has been an integral part of our local community, supporting local children and families over the last 57 years.
Our doors will officially close on Friday July 21st 2023.

It goes without saying that our devoted staff and parents are devastated by this news, however in true Queensway fashion we will strive to provide our children with the very best opportunities until our point of closure.

Today the children made ' Pre-school cake' to celebrate a birthday!

We learned about germs and good hygiene, used maths as we measured out our own ingredients, recognised numerals and counted. We were introduced to vocabulary such as 'recipe' and 'ingredients', followed a sequence, discussed texture-'smooth' and 'spongy'. Of course, the best bit was sharing it out and eating it for our afternoon snack! The birthday boy certainly enjoyed it😋

From 11th January in England, people who receive a positive lateral flow test for COVID-19 won’t be required to take a confirmatory PCR test. They should continue to self-isolate.
