Anchorsholme Cllrs Anita Cooper and Paul Galley have been working with children from Anchorsholme Academy on designing the new play equipment to replace the burnt out ship.

The school and the children have been absolutely fantastic and their design ideas will be fed back to the manufacturers. Once the designs are then put together by the manufacturers everyone Including the children will be given the chance to vote for their favourite design.

Installation will be spring 2027.

Someone has left a crutch on the fence by the bowling green on Anchorsholme Lane West.
Hope it gets back to it's owner but it's been there all this week.

‼️ Guys Thatched Hamlet closes suddenly after 46 years

Not Blackpool‑related this time… but let’s be honest, most of us have been here at least once.

The much‑loved canalside spot located just off the A6 near to Preston has shut its doors without warning, leaving locals shocked and staff unsure what comes next.

Senseless vandalism to the new bench and portable toilet in the park.
The police have attended and are dealing with the situation.

The new bench has been in situ for less than 2 weeks 😢
