🔨 Illuminations Joiner Apprentice
Fancy learning a skilled trade while working behind the scenes of one of the UK’s most famous visitor attractions?

As an apprentice Bench Joiner, you’ll work alongside experienced craftsmen, learning traditional and modern joinery techniques while helping to create, maintain and restore the iconic Blackpool Illuminations.

You could be involved in creating:
💡 Unique Illuminations displays
🪵 Bespoke timber structures
🎭 Scenic features
🔨 Traditional & modern joinery projects

📍 Location: Lightworks, Blackpool
⏰ 37 hours per week
📅 2-year apprenticeship�
💷 £15,435–£24,522 per year, depending on age
📆 Closing date: 27th August 2026 at 12 noon

🌟 CAREERS GUIDANCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE 🌟

Is your child unsure about what they want to do after school? Not sure which college, apprenticeship, course or career route would be right for them?

At Fylde Futures, I provide bespoke, one-to-one careers guidance tailored around the individual young person - their interests, strengths, needs and aspirations.

💙 I have a particular specialism in supporting young people with SEND, as well as those who may need additional support with confidence, engagement, attendance, decision-making or transitioning from school into their next steps.

🎓 How I can help:
• One-to-one careers guidance interviews
• Post-16 options and transition support
• College and course choices
• Apprenticeship guidance
• Exploring different career pathways
• Support with applications and next steps
• CV and employability support
• Interview preparation and mock interviews
• Support for young people who are unsure or disengaged

📍 Local knowledge & connections:
I have established links with post-16 education and training providers across Blackpool, meaning I can help young people explore realistic options and understand what is available locally.

💻 Flexible appointments:
Guidance meetings can take place online via Microsoft Teams or Zoom, or over the phone, making the service accessible for young people who may find face-to-face appointments difficult.
Every young person is different, so there is no "one size fits all" approach. I take the time to understand the individual and provide guidance that is personalised, supportive and realistic.

They’re looking for someone to develop their technical skills while supporting employees and students with IT services. Apprentices will gain experience by providing IT support, maintaining equipment and contributing to technology projects across the College.
