YPS delivered an overnight wild camping residential to Hallin Fell in the Lake District, providing young people with opportunities to develop independence, practical life skills, resilience and teamwork. Following preparatory sessions on camping equipment, tent pitching and carrying their kit, young people put these skills into practice in a real-life setting. Reaching the summit and enjoying breathtaking views across Ullswater, followed by stargazing beneath a clear night sky, created lasting memories, built confidence and encouraged young people to challenge themselves and broaden their horizons.
