C.A.T (Cancer Awareness Trainers)

C.A.T (Cancer Awareness Trainers) C.A.T is a group run by volunteers to raise awareness of Cancers within the local community.

Blackburn with Darwen has one of the highest mortality rates from Cancer in the country and a very low rate of accessing Cancer services. This is particularly the case for the South Asian population within the borough. The CAT volunteers raise awareness of Cancers by engaging with local community groups and by using a variety of media and platforms to get across healthy living messages.
