A fantastic weekend at the National Cadet Target Sprint Competition held at Cranleigh School where we welcomed 60 cadets who competed over the 2 day competition.

The National Cadet Air Rifle Meeting (Nat CARM) is the first major event in the new plan. It is a tri-Service competition for units of the CCF, SCC, VCC, ACF and RAFAC. This year it will be shot at Bisley in the NSRA’s Lord Roberts Centre from 12 – 15 February 2026. It will be fired using any issued Air Rifle (BSA Scorpion or Air Arms S200), fired at ISSF targets from the Standing position.

We are delighted to announce our new six day festival of shooting for young marksmen: The Youth Imperial Meeting.

The NRA is committed to facilitating a premier fullbore competition for young people in 2026. We are pleased to announce plans for the Youth Imperial Meeting which will take place from Saturday 11th to Thursday 16th July 2026.

The Meeting will offer opportunities for young shooters to participate in a variety of disciplines, in events that acknowledge the history of the CCF Schools Meeting, but also give opportunities to a wider audience. We aim to support all facets of the sport, including team and range management, shooting and coaching.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) are keen to see the sport of target shooting grow, with particular interest in enhancing the offering to Young Shooters. Our wider Youth Strategy aims to support young people in a variety of roles within the sport.
