One of our responders was deployed to assist at a Cardiac Arrest Yesterday and had the pleasure of the assistance by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance - when a patient is critically ill, hearing HEMS are overhead in 2 minutes was a great relief! - The arm waiving to the sky on their approach was however more embarrassing. 😅🤲

Education and Training in First Aid and Defibrillator use is something very much at the heart of this Charity. Bringing first hand Frontline experience to 36 Eastleigh College Students as part of their Industry Week was a real pleasure for Trainers Rob & Alistair.

Every part of the Charity and its work would not be possible without the generous donations and Grants received. We aim to run Monthly Community courses for those interested.

Message or visit bishopstokecf.org/contact for more information and to register an interest, this will be alongside our pop-up sites and fundraising.

Sudden cardiac arrest does not discriminate on age or s*x so be one step ahead to save a life if its ever needed.

Empty box..... that means a Defibrillator was deployed.

We are pleased to hear that one of our community Defibrillators was today deployed to a patient in Bishopstoke. We have restocked and made ready the replacement within just a couple of hours of use.

On this occasion the use by patients family was fast and faultless and as such from the deployment of the Defibrillator to the patient meant they were transferred to hospital alive.

We exist solely on donations and grants to continue.

On Tuesday we had the pleasure of teaching First Aid skills to a number of students at Eastleigh College. We hope to run Defibrillator and First Aid courses once a month if you would like to learn more from those with first hand experience please do get in contact.

Merry Christmas everyone,
Rest assured we have Cardiac Arrest First Responders signed on also to cover over Christmas and New Year in Bishopstoke and surrounding areas to ensure we are there to provide trained and equipped emergency care to anyone who needs us, dispatched by The ambulance Service through GoodSAM.
This is not part of the CFR service they provide. Your donations directly help to ensure we are able to maintain and equip the public and responders for Cardiac Arrests and Bleeding incidents.

Believe it or not, during the sad passing of our Trustee in November her family were directed by the Call handler to a Defibrillator nearby they fundraised and fitted, although the crew arrived before this was retrieved - It just goes to show you never know who and when you need one.

It was a pleasure to to be part of the Armistice Service at Bishopstoke War Memorial this year. We cleared the area of leaves and water-logging and put silhouettes and poppy's up ahead for the service. A lovely tribute to our fallen service personal.

We will remember them, (Video to follow.)
