Just over one week to go and we couldn't be more excited! Here are the dancing schedules for the Saturday, both for Bishop's Castle and Ludlow.

Sunday:
The plan for Sunday is that all teams that feel up to it are meeting at 11AM outside The Six Bells pub ready to process at 11:30. We will be processing up to the top of town (it is a relatively steep hill so partake at your own peril!) and ending up at the historic Three Tuns Brewery. There, the remaining teams will dance until we've all decided we've had enough.

Fancy taking a break from a busy day of dancing to learn a little bit more about your hosting teams? Bishop's Castle's very own House on Crutches Museum offers "an extensive social history collection covering many aspects of community life and agriculture in Bishop's Castle and South West Shrophire" , including an exhibition on the history of the Shropshire Bedlams and Martha Rhoden's!
They will be open on Saturday from 2pm-5pm

Weekend schedule
Please find below a link to the information brochure about the Morris Federation weekend. All times are within for the session on Friday night, the dancing tours (in Bishops Castle and Ludlow) and ceilidh/session on Saturday and the procession on Sunday.

Lunch on Saturday
A buffet lunch will be provided in Bishop's Castle and Ludlow, there will be meat, veggie and GF options but if you have any specific dietary requirements please let us know and we will try our very best to accommodate.

Collecting
We will be collecting at spots throughout Ludlow and Bishops Castle and proceeds will go towards Cancer Research UK. Collection pots will be available.

Town tours
As per my previous email, there is the option of a Bishop's Castle town tour on Saturday evening or Sunday by request. If you would like to go on one of these, please let me know. It's £3 per person to be paid in cash on the day 10 people max. per group.

Roll up! Roll up! Morris dancers from across the UK will perform throughout Bishop's Castle and Ludlow on Saturday 30th September (10:30-15:00) and in Bishop's Castle on Sunday 1st October (11:00 onwards).

We accept dancers from the age of 12 and practise every Tuesday 8-10pm in Bishop’s Castle or Lydbury North.

Bishop's Castle is a small market town nestling in the South Shropshire Hills (a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

Hi all!

We are looking forward to seeing you all very soon. We are putting the finishing touches on our tours and will provide you with that and some other information as soon as possible, hopefully by the end of the week.

For now, we have had the following offer by a local tour guide and morris affiliate. Please get in touch if anyone is interested!

Bishop's Castle Town Tours for morris fed weekend. Discover the historic buildings in our beautiful market town and hear about some of the characters and events that shaped it.

Tours are on Saturday evening at 16:30, 16:45 and 17:00 or by request on Sunday (10 people per tour max.).

Hello everyone! 👋 We have had some inquiries recently about where to stay during the big weekend 🏕️. Our team have complied a list of local accomodations and campsites, which can be viewed on our website by following the link below:

With the exception of the indoor camping option mentioned below, we're unable to offer any accommodation. Those with tents, caravans and campers will need to use one of the commercial campsites in the area, which are listed below.

Hello all! 👋 Plans are steaming ahead for September and our team are working hard behind the scenes to ensure a fabulous weekend for all invited.

If your team are planning on attending the Morris Federation AGM 2023, then please fill out the form linked below and purchase your tickets.

Day tickets for the Saturday are £10 per person, to cover transportation to dance spots, hall hire, and light refreshments.

There will be entertainment on the Saturday evening if any of your group fancy making a weekend of it! This will include a ceilidh with Kirkophany, and a pop-up folk club. These evening tickets are an additional £10.

There is also an option for whether or not your team would like to dance on the Sunday. This will be an informal affair in Bishop's Castle for those that are feeling brave (and not too hungover)! This will consist of a procession followed by dancing spots at our historic Three Tuns Brewery. There is no additional cost for the Sunday.

We kindly ask that you purchase your tickets no later than July 31st to avoid disappointment. This is a not-for-profit event and any excess funds will be channelled back into the event.

It is with great pleasure that The Shropshire Bedlams and Martha Rhodens Tuppenny Dish are hosting the festivities this year.
