What would you spend £2 on?

We took to the streets of Bristol to ask that very question and the answers were very interesting. In short… not a lot of any real meaning or value.

£2 doesn’t go far nowadays, but it can make somebodies day with a BillyChip.

We have over 450 vendors across the UK where people experiencing homelessness can exchange them for hot and cold food and drink.

We’ve been working with for years now and the work they do is incredible.

If you’re unfamiliar with them, Help Bristol’s Homeless convert repurposed shipping containers in Bedminster into self-contained micro-flats to provide secure, temporary accommodation, while residents get back on their feet.

We popped down to chat with one of the long-term residents and now volunteer, Simon, to find out first hand what their support means to those it directly impacts.

Donating 50 BillyChips and 200 cups of tea to ☺️

We teamed up with .tea to create a delicious tea blend, where every purchase provides a vital donation.

It’s been so popular that we managed to provide all of this to Help Bristol’s Homeless in just a few weeks 👌🏽

We loved catching up with Ben at this month, one of our brilliant Bank of BillyChip investors. 💙

Ben and his team wanted to support a Bristol-based organisation making a real difference for people experiencing homelessness. Through the Bank of BillyChip, 100% of their investment is turned into BillyChips, distributed by local outreach services to give people access to food and drink across the city centre.

Valley Fest is back, and we’re giving away tickets. 🎪

Music, food, and lakeside views at Chew Valley Lake. One of the most feel-good festivals in the South West, and you could be there.

We were invited to a coffee morning arranged by the school to visit Gilly and the children that are helping push BillyChip and raise awareness of homelessness in Monmouthshire ☺️

Not only is Gilly helping to lead the school with initiatives, but they’ve been invited to the local council to discuss other ways in which they can help 🤯

Meg did a talk to the kids and chatting to them has been one of the most heartwarming and inspiring experiences!

There’s much more to come with this story, so we will keep you updated 💙
