What a joy to visit the ‘end of year’ exhibition at Queen Elizabeth’s College in Darlington … a studio filled with experiment and passion. Dawn and Jane were invited by Eden, whose section shone with talent and dedication. Her stunning portraits, in oil, were a real highlight - beautifully observed, richly painted and full of life. A proud moment to see her work displayed among so much inspiring creativity … congratulations Eden and all 👏🏻👏🏻 xx

Championing Identity: ‘Every person carries a story’ • what a wonderful evening we had on Friday as we came together to celebrate our most recent portraiture exhibition at the Artists’ Hub - a body of work built on trust, courage, creativity, and the sharing of personal stories.

It was so lovely to welcome so many people into the space and to see visitors spending time with the portraits and narratives that sit at the heart of our project.

We’re incredibly proud of this work and grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey … each piece represents a collaboration; a story shared, a voice heard, and an identity celebrated.

More than an exhibition, Championing Identity is a reminder that every person carries experiences we may never fully see. Through art and storytelling, these stories have been made visible, creating opportunities for connection, understanding, and conversation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Friday and to all those who have supported the project along the way.

Woodhouse Art Group: what a room full of joy! Tuesday evening was a hive of activity • the space was busy with art in all its wonder … watercolour, acrylic, pencil drawing, graphic art and sculptural clay; a wonderfully mixed bag of goings-on

Our evening Art Group is a space where everyone is developing their own style; trying new techniques, and creating work that inspires and delights … and it’s wonderful to see the encouragement there is for one another • it never takes long before strangers become friends, supporting each others confidences to grow.

Art isn’t about perfection - it’s about expression, enjoyment, and making time to create … it’s clear that something special is happening here.

Well done to all our artists. Your creativity and enthusiasm make Woodhouse Art Group such a lovely place to be 💙
