From competition highlights to taking recovery one step at a time—this Feature Friday, we’re celebrating our Sophie ❤️
Sophie is one of our acrobats, and a back issue has meant she hasn’t been able to train for a few months. We’re so proud of the resilience she’s showing through this time, and we wanted to share her story in her own words.
🤸 What are you working on?
Right now, Sophie’s focus is becoming pain-free. Alongside her recovery, she’s been learning to judge and helping her teammates perfect their routines—exploring another side of the sport while staying involved with our team.
🏅 Her unstoppable moment
Qualifying for Inter-Regionals with Annabelle and finishing fourth in the country at just 11 years old. What a moment to look back on!
✨ Who inspires her?
Sophie G, because she’s “kind, funny and always perseveres A lovely reminder of the difference someone’s character can make to the gymnasts around them.
❤️ Her favourite gymnastics memory
Becoming North of England champion for her tumbling level at Finals—another special chapter in Sophie’s gymnastics journey.
💬 Her advice to other gymnasts
“The moment you want to give up is the moment you need to keep going.”
For Sophie right now, keeping going means being patient, following her rehabilitation plan and giving herself time to heal. There’s strength in taking things steadily, too.
🌟 Her next goal
Sophie hopes to be ready to train properly next season and be in a partnership again. She’ll be working with her physio and coaches, following her rehab plan and making sure she doesn’t rush her return.
Sophie, we’re proud of your achievements, your resilience and the support you’re giving your teammates. You’re a valued part of our club throughout your recovery, and we can’t wait to see you back on the gym floor when you’re ready. ❤️
