About Us

Our aim is to provide a safe and friendly environment for 11-15 year olds rather than them having nowhere to go so as a result, they hang around the streets. We are non judgemental and take on board any problems youths may have. They might just want to come in out of the rain, that's fine. They can have a game of pool or join in with the arts and crafts. As we grow, we intend having a Youth Worker to give help and advise to anyone that may need it.

Louise Hurst from our Local Policing has given us her full backing as have Paul Smith from Safer Kirklees. Mark Thompson (local councillor) and Birstall Chambers will be involved with day to day development so hopefully get donations from Ellies Flowers of fruit and possible other businesses in Birstall.

At this stage we insist the children live in the Birstall areas of Fieldhead, Cambridge Road, Howden Clough and Brookroyd including Roman Road.

We have places for 40 children so children from other areas may get turned away so to avoid disappointment please be aware this group is ultimately for children living in Birstall. They may attend a Birstall school but they also need to provide us with their Birstall address as consent forms need to be signed.
