Living Beyond Surviving exists to re-build confidence, self-esteem and self-worth. I had the pleasure of attending the West Midlands PCC Victims Summit today, expertly hosted by the inspiring who did a fantastic job. It was wonderful to network and connect with so many organisations dedicated to supporting victims. The event was full of insightful discussions on improving victim support, navigating legal processes, and implementing effective strategies to make a real difference.

It was both an honour and a pleasure to deliver the very first domestic abuse workshop to members of the New Testament Church. The day was truly impactful, filled with meaningful engagement and open conversation. There’s something incredibly powerful about women supporting women, however the event was open to men too. it was a joy to witness.

The session concluded with a moving prayer led by one of the church ministers, bringing a strong sense of unity and hope to the room. I’m proud to see the church embracing these important conversations, creating a safe space where individuals affected by abuse—past or present—feel seen, heard, and supported.

A heartfelt thank you to my incredible guest speakers and who courageously shared their lived experiences. You were amazing, and your voices made a real difference. An extended thank you to for your amazing, heartfelt poems which touched everyone in the room. 💜🙏🏽

I’m happy to announce joining me on the 11th October for the domestic abuse training at will be:

- Yanique Taylor is an Author, HIV Peer Mentor, Radio Presenter, and Speaker. Through her memoir Shameless: My Naked Truth and her shows My Naked Truth and The HIV Positive Show, she breaks barriers by declaring, “Shame is unwelcome and nothing is taboo.” Yanique also empowers women as an Art Therapy Coach, helping them unlock their hidden creativity.

I’m truly honoured to be delivering my domestic abuse training at the New Testament Church of God on 11th October 2025. This particular session holds deep personal meaning, as my late grandmother who was a devoted member for many decades played a significant role in shaping my faith and spiritual foundation. To now be supporting women within the house of God feels like both a blessing and a powerful step into a deeper calling and purpose. 💜🙏🏽

There will also be two special guests speakers who will be joining me to talk about their personal experiences with domestic abuse and spiritual abuse.

Baiting is emotional & phycological abuse.

It’s when a toxic person deliberately says or does something cruel-just to trigger you. It’s never random. It’s never accidental.
It’s strategic. Calculated. Intentional.

It’s the narcissist’s way of making you the villain.
They poke, prod, provoke-until you break.
Then they sit back and say, “See? Look at how crazy you are.”
But here’s the truth:
You’re not crazy.
You’re exhausted.
You’re begging for basic decency.
You’re trying to make peace with someone who thrives on war.
Don’t take the bait.
The more calm you stay, the more their mask falls off.
And once you see it... you can never unsee it.
