The adventure team have been asked several times over the last year if there are any events for adults.
We have put together a relaxing weekend that you can enjoy with like minded people – and learn some new skills along the way.
How do you feel about the adventure section of the program?
Do you feel you need to upskill for the girls to get the most out of it?
Do you want to take your rainbows or brownies to do camp activities for an evening or a day but are unsure you have the skills?
Do you want to camp with your guides? Perhaps you have not camped before or not for some time (lots of people have not camped at all since before covid). Would you like to refresh your skills?
Do you want to expand menu options on camp?
Do you want to learn some new camp fire songs (or rediscover some old ones)?
Join us for a weekend of camping, activities, training and relaxation. There are 3 options available:

The full 2 night camp £30
Camp for Saturday night only – 10am Saturday to 3pm Sunday £20
Come for the day on Saturday – 10am Saturday until the evening £10
Date: Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th May 2026

The adventure team have been asked many times for an event just for rangers and young leaders – who are tired of being tagged onto guide events but never having anything for them. So, this year we are running a weekend just for them!

More information and booking form: Camp for Rangers and Young Leaders - Girlguiding Birmingham

After an extremely busy half term, join us for a weekend of fun and relaxation at the beginning of the half term holiday. It will be an ideal opportunity to refresh yourself before hitting the revision for the rest of the week (or if you are lucky enough not to have exams, a relaxing half term).

We will be camping and doing a mix of cooking, craft, relaxation, and camp activities and – by popular demand – a bouncy castle! Depending on numbers there may be a trip off site on Saturday.

There are 3 options.
• the full two-night camp (Friday 5pm to Sunday 3pm £40)
• one night (Sat 10am to Sunday 3pm £30)
• one day – just the Saturday (10am until the evening £15).

Date: Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th May 2026
Timings: Arrive from 5pm on the Friday – leave 3pm on the Sunday if you are coming to the whole camp
Venue: Beaconfield Campsite, Monument Lane, Lickey, B45 9QJ
Cost: £40 – whole camp
£30 – one night (Saturday 10am until 3pm Sunday)
£15 – Saturday only (10am until the evening)

Young leaders and Rangers can book on as individuals or ranger units can book as a unit.

Get your girls in uniform for World Thinking Day 2026! Thinking Day is a special time for Girlguiding Birmingham, and what better way to celebrate than for girls to wear their uniforms to school? To make it easy for leaders and parents to get permission, we've created a letter that you can use to request schools' approval.

The letter suggests that girls wear guiding uniform on the 23 February 2026.

Why wear uniform to celebrate Thinking Day? Wearing uniform to celebrate Thinking Day shows solidarity with guiding members around the world and allows girls to be proud of their commitment to the movement. It's also a great opportunity to raise awareness of Girlguiding Birmingham and the amazing things we do. 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the very first Thinking Day.

What's Included in the letter?
Our letter includes all the information schools need to know about Thinking Day and why girls would like to wear their uniforms. The letter also makes it easy for schools to grant permission, with space for email details.

Download the letter from the Girlguiding Birmingham website: www.girlguidingbirmingham.org.uk

Look for the Resources page and select Forms Available for Download.
