Kings Heath Community Kitchen is growing, and we’re looking for 5 amazing people to join our volunteer team and help us continue supporting our community. 🧡

There are lots of ways you can get involved:

👕 Clothing Support – sorting and distributing donated clothing
🤝 Welcoming & Support – greeting people, having a chat and helping everyone feel welcome
💈 Wellbeing Support – helping with the additional support we provide during our sessions
🧡 Session Support – setting up, helping throughout the day and packing away

You don’t need previous experience — just a willingness to get involved, work as part of the team and help make a difference.
Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Every meal served, every item of clothing given out and every conversation starts with people choosing to give their time.
❤️ Every hour you give can make a difference to someone's day.

Interested in joining us?

Come and be part of something bigger.
Be part of our community. 🧡

❤️ PLEASE HELP THE FAMILIES AFFECTED BY THE GORLESTON ROAD FIRE ❤️

Following the devastating fire that was deliberately started on Gorleston Road, six homes have been left devastated and a number of families have been left with little more than the clothes on their backs.

At a time when these families are facing unimaginable uncertainty, our community has the opportunity to come together and show them that they are not alone.

Warstock Community Centre is currently accepting donations to help support those affected, but they need our help too. The demand is huge, and it will take all of us coming together to provide the essentials these families desperately need.

🙏 At the moment, there is a particular need for:

👕 Men’s clothing
🧴 Men’s toiletries
🥣 Cereals and breakfast foods
🧼 Toiletries and everyday essentials
🥫 Long-life food
🧦 Socks and underwear
🧺 Other essential household items

If you have anything you can spare, please donate. Even one bag of clothes, a box of cereal or a few toiletries can make a genuine difference to someone who has suddenly lost so much.

And if you can’t donate, please share this post. You never know who might see it and be able to help.

This is one of those moments where our community can really show what it is made of. ❤️

Six homes. Families displaced. A community ready to help.

Let’s come together, support Warsrock Community Centre and make sure these families know that their community is standing beside them. ❤️

This isn’t just a cup of coffee.

It’s the start of a conversation.

For some of the people who walk through our doors, it might be the first conversation they’ve had all week.

It’s someone asking, “How are you?” and genuinely wanting to hear the answer.

It’s a friendly face. A warm welcome. A place to sit without judgement. A reminder that somebody cares.

Because sometimes, the most important thing we serve isn’t a hot meal or a cup of coffee.

It’s connection.
It’s conversation.
It’s community. 🧡

Everyone is welcome.

No referral. No judgement. Just community.
