🌼 Cultivar Spotlight: Narcissus ‘Toretta’ 🌼

A striking Division 3 Small-Cupped daffodil, Narcissus ‘Toretta’ is a beautiful cultivar bred by renowned Northern Irish hybridiser Brian S. Duncan and registered in 2014.

With its elegant white perianth, lemon-yellow cup and distinctive deep pink-red rim, Toretta is a bloom that commands attention on the show bench and recently earned First Prize in its class at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show 2026 🏆✨

🌼 Important Information for Exhibitors – National Show at Birmingham Botanic Garden 🌼

If you’re planning to exhibit at the National Show, please take note of the updated arrival arrangements:

🚫 No flowers are to be brought through the main entrance (this is a change from previous years).

🚚 All exhibits must be delivered via the delivery yard on Westbourne Road.
➡️ Drive past the main car park — the entrance to the yard is approximately 50 yards on the left.

🚗 Once you’ve unloaded your flowers, please return to the main car park to park your vehicle.
⚠️ Remember: Westbourne Road is one way.

💡 If you only have a small amount to carry, it may be easier to park in the main car park first and walk your exhibits to the delivery yard.

🅿️ Important: Don’t forget to enter your car registration at the main entrance — otherwise, you may be charged for parking.

“Daffodils Through Your Lens”
We invite daffodil lovers, growers and photographers to capture the beauty of daffodils in all their forms and share them with the National Daffodil Society. 🌼

🌼 Competition Categories
Daffodils Through Your Lens
Open to all daffodil photographs — garden, wild, show or creative images are all welcome.
• Under 18s
• 18s and over

🌟 Prizes for each category
First Prize: £25 Amazon Voucher
Second Prize: £15 Amazon Voucher
Third Prize: Daffodil Society Membership for a year

🏵️ Exhibition Feature:
Winning photographs will be printed and displayed at the National Daffodil Show

Include the following details in your email:
• Photographer’s name
• Age category (Under 18 / 18s and over)
• Location and date the photo was taken
• Variety name (if known)
📸 Maximum three entries per person.

📏 Terms & Conditions
• Entries must be the entrant’s own work
• No digital manipulation or heavy editing permitted
• Professional photographers are excluded
• Photos must have been taken within the last two years
• By entering, participants grant the National Daffodil Society permission to use submitted images on Society social media and the official website, with credit to the photographer
• Winning photographs will be printed and publicly displayed at the National Daffodil Show, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, 18–19 April 2026
• Competition open to UK & Ireland entries only
