Our organisation is a hub of youth work working closely with our partners to provide a holistic and integrated service to young people and provide opportunities that inspire and motivate young people to be the best they can. Our strategic plan sets out how we will resource, manage and continually improve our work over the coming years to ensure we build on our strengths, respond to the challenges

Thanks to Bring It On Brum for funding this opportunity and to our Volunteers who gave up their time to make the scheme happen and to all of the young people that took part in making a summer to remember.

Consultation is taking place to build on this with a new programme to take us up to December so keep an eye out for more activities to come.

Friday was our Creativity Day and the young people got to try a number of creative activities including graffiti, 3D printing, t-shirt designing and music production with 36 young people getting involved.

The sun was shining a little too much so we had an 'indoor' BBQ and a number of games available for those whose creative juices were not flowing!!!

We also had a visit from Compass who not only offered a space for young people to find out more about their services but their own creative activities in the form of bracelet making and stone painting.

As week 3 of the scheme has come to an end we have had an attendance of 498 across all of our activities so far this summer and with another action packed week planned we are looking forward to ending the scheme on a high.

We are over half way through our holiday activity programme and we have loved every minute of it.

This week is going to be particularly hot so activities will be amended to take the excess heat into account (particularly Wednesday and Thursday) and this will be communicated with all parents and young people.

Can we ask that where possible that the parents/carers of young people booked on this week come with a hat, water bottle and having put on sun cream before they arrive - any problems with this drop us a message and we will support you to make this happen.

Yesterday was Family Beach Day as 42 members of the local community joined our Youth Workers on a day out to Barry Island.

The sun was shining and a great day was had by all with members from a number of our projects coming together for a real community day out. This is our second year doing this and it has become a staple part of our yearly programme.

Everyone had a great time, here are just a few mentions!

DJ - "The day has made our summer; we would not have got away at all this year so thank you."

AK - "Beach day is the best, it is so nice to get away."

SM - "Today was a brilliant day, going away on our own can be difficult so it really helps when things like this are available."

Week 1 of our Summer of Fun is complete and what a week it has been.

After a week filled with food, games, arts and music we ended with a Pump Sports Day. This event saw staff and young people compete in a number of games including tug-o-war, javelin, archery, basketball shoot out, volleyball and the no Pump famous Welly Wanging!!!!

After a hotly fought battle Team Lee came out on top and is ready to defend the trophy in 2 weeks time.

Today saw a very much quieter session take place with our CONNECT group taking part in a plate painting session and may I say there were some real masterpieces made for our families to take home.

Tomorrow we go again with 34 young people booked in and ready to go with week 2 of of the BIOB programme, although we are full if you are looking for a space please email your details to [email protected] and we will see how we can accomodate.

Day 1 of Summer complete and what a lovely day it was.

We had volleyball, bag making, computer sessions, bejewelling, welly wanging and the young people had their vary own 'Subway Day' where there were some weird and wonderful sub rolls made to enjoy for lunch.

It was nice to see so many young people take part and we look forward to welcoming some new young people again tomorrow.

Now the young people have gone home its time to get ready for tonight's street based session and get some archery practice in ready for tomorrow's competition!!!

We are pleased to share with you the latest addition to our holiday programme - 'Summer Days'

Every Friday will see a themed day take place in the car park with activities, food and music based around the theme of the week.

These have been chosen by our young people who will be planning the days and helping deliver each activity and we can't wait to see their ides turn into reality.

Summer is here and we are pleased to share our summer programme with you.

We have two projects running this summer, our Bring It On Brum Summer of Fun which starts next Tuesday at 11am. This project is for 10 - 16 year olds and you book directly online using www.bringitonbrum.co.uk

Places are filling fast so if it is full send your details to [email protected] (your name, name, your child's HAF code, date of birth of your child/ren and a contact number) and we will be in touch on Friday to see if we can sort some extra spaces out for you.

Our Summer Nights offer will see two evenings of street-based work where staff will visit parks, shops and green spaces to work with young people and offer some extra safeguarding to the community throughout the summer weeks. We will also continue to deliver our Sensory Friendly Youth Club as normal throughout the holiday period.

This week staff will be taking time to prepare for the next four weeks and take some time themselves before we go live next week - we will be out and about on the streets so come and say hi if you see us around.

Yesterday saw our final school session of the academic year delivered and what a year it has been with some amazing sessions with some even more amazing young people taking place.

As an organisation we know that mainstream school doesn't work for everybody so we have loved taking the creative route and this has led to vocational accreditations, the development of enterprise projects and the production of some amazing music by some very talented people.

We would like to thank the young people that have engaged with us this year for your hard work, enthusiasm and for trusting us with your learning journey. We would also like to thank the schools for trusting us with your students and to the support staff who have worked with us on site each week.

There are some exciting changes coming to our schools offer so look out for further updates.
