🎾 We couldn’t resist sharing some pictures from last week’s Sport Birmingham Corporate Padel Championship!

A huge thank you to everyone who competed, supported, sponsored and helped make the day happen - all while raising vital funds for our Make a Difference (MAD) team and their work with young people and communities across Birmingham.

Special thanks to Connect Padel Birmingham, The Padel Foundation, Fortune Packaging and Develo, and supporters Decathlon UK, PureGym Edgbaston, Cosy Club, Taqi's Grill, Skratch Golf, F1® Arcade and BOX Birmingham for their fantastic contributions.

Thanks also to Rebekah Ellis for her photography on the day, and Daniel Jay Smith and Sophie for completing the 404 push-up/squat challenge! 💪

A new phase of Active Birmingham Place Investment has begun! 🌟

We’re inviting organisations working to increase physical activity and improve opportunities for communities across Birmingham to apply for funding.

A Local System Partner (LSP) is a locally rooted well-established community organisation that plays a trusted role within its neighbourhood, bringing people, community groups and local partners together, leveraging its assets and influence for the wider good.

Active Birmingham are looking for five LSPs to deliver this programme. There will be one LSP per area and organisations will not be able to submit more than one proposal.

Not sure if you would be classed as an LSP? Take a look at our guidance on the dedicated Active Birmingham Place Deepening webpage (link below), or have a chat with us at our event at the Midlands Arts Centre on Wednesday 7th October 2026, 10am - 11.30am.
