For Brum Transport Fest, we commissioned artist, Milan Illustrator , to create a special design celebrating Birmingham’s incredible manufacturing and transport heritage.

It features the original classic Mini which was famously manufactured in the West Midlands at the historic Longbridge plant in Birmingham starting in 1959.

Limited edition postcards and magnets of this design will be available for purchase at the festival, alongside other fantastic transport themed merchandise by Milan at the Colmore Life gazebo in Centenary Square.

Birmingham City Council has launched a public consultation on its new Local Plan, setting out a vision for how the city will grow and develop up to 2044.

The plan focuses growth across 16 Growth Zones and includes policies covering housing, sustainability, climate change, infrastructure, and the protection of Birmingham's natural and historic environments.

Residents, businesses, community groups and anyone with an interest in the future of Birmingham are encouraged to review the proposals and submit their feedback before the consultation closes on 24 September 2026.

We’re pleased to share details of a free bus travel initiative provided by Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), which has been relaunched for eligible colleagues working in Colmore.

Eligible individuals can benefit from:
🚌 4 weeks of free bus travel
🚌 The option to purchase a further 2 x 4-week periods at 25% discount

Colleagues who have previously benefited from this scheme will not be eligible.

The application form is open until 23:59 on Wednesday 2 September 2026. Successful applicants will receive their travel codes no later than 17:00 on Friday 4 September 2026.
