Colmore Life Colmore is the cultural, commercial and civic heart of Birmingham – a vibrant district driving footfall, economic growth and quality of life.

Colmore Business District (C*D) is a business improvement district (BID) established to project manage improvements and services to the business quarter of Birmingham. Around 500 companies are located in the District employing up to 35,000 people and occupy approximately 5.6 million square feet of office space. C*D’s diverse business community provides quality services and expertise to regional, national and international clients. The District also has a first class hospitality sector, comprising of excellent restaurants, bars, shops, coffee houses and hotels that provide for corporate customers and visitors to the area.

Join us for an evening celebrating Black History Month, creativity, culture and community at Jamaya.

🖼️ Throughout October, Snow Hill Square has been transformed into an open-air gallery, showcasing a collection of artwork exploring Black culture and celebrating the creativity and perspectives of artists from Birmingham City University’s School of Arts.

Come along to Jamaya on Tuesday 20 October for a special evening bringing together artists, organisers, partners and the wider community.

This National Hate Crime Awareness Week (10-17 October), organisations across Birmingham are coming together to send a clear message: hate crime has no place in our city.

Throughout the week, Birmingham City Council and partners will be taking their DigiVan campaign into communities, transport hubs, retail destinations, educational settings and the city centre to raise awareness of hate crime, promote reporting pathways and signpost support services.

If you experience or witness hate crime, please report it. Reporting helps support victims, identify repeat incidents and offenders, and strengthens the response from partners across the city.

This October, take a moment to explore our open-air Black History Month Exhibition at Snow Hill Square.

This exhibition is a collaboration between Colmore Life and Birmingham City University's School of Arts, bringing together a collection of original works created by emerging artists from BCU's Art and Design Department.

Inspired by the theme of Black Culture, students were invited to explore, interpret and celebrate the stories, achievements, identities and contributions that shape Black history and contemporary life.

Free to view and open throughout the month, it's an opportunity to learn, reflect and recognise the people and stories that have helped shape our city. If you're in the District, be sure to stop by and take a look.
