After a week of knots, fire, tools and assessments, we finished our Level 3 Forest School Leaders Course in the best way, putting our skills into action with a cook-out! 🙌

We’re proud to now be delivering accredited training here at Norton Hall, with AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group as our qualification provider. 🎓🌿

A big shout-out to The National Lottery Community Fund, whose funding supported four training places for people from our local community, alongside other learners on the course. 💚

A brilliant week of learning, practical skills and plenty of time outdoors. Congratulations to everyone who took part! 👏

📚 NEW MATHS TUITION AT NORTON HALL CHILDREN & FAMILY CENTRE

We’re excited to be looking at launching a new 6-week Maths Tuition programme after the October half-term and are now taking expressions of interest from parents and carers.

The programme will offer additional support for:

➕ KS2 | Years 3–6 (Ages 7–11)
Helping children strengthen key maths skills, practise what they’re learning at school and build confidence. SATs and 11+ preparation will also be included where appropriate.

📐 KS4 | Years 10–11 (Ages 14–16)
Additional GCSE Maths support, including core skills, problem solving, revision and exam preparation.

Sessions will be delivered by an experienced Maths Tutor with a Master’s degree in Mathematics, with tuition tailored around the needs of the group. Math Tuition-2.pdf

📅 Initial 6-week programme
⏰ One 2-hour session each week | 4pm–6pm
👥 Small groups of 8–10
💷 £20 per 2-hour session | £120 for the full 6 weeks

And just like that… the summer holidays are a wrap and we’re back to school! 🎒✨

We had an absolute blast, from Forest School, cooking, arts and sports to finding lizards, holding our very own Bake Off and enjoying healthy meals together! 🦎🧁⚽🎨🥗

We also went on an incredible nine trips over the summer, including an amazing day at Drayton Manor! 🎢🚌

A huge thank you to our wonderful staff and volunteers who helped make it such a fantastic summer for our children and young people. 💚

Are you ready to learn something new, build your confidence or take the next step towards employment?

The Dolphin Women’s Centre has three friendly and supportive opportunities available:

🧵 Sewing for Beginners
Learn essential sewing skills and create your own projects.

💻 Beginners IT
Build confidence using computers, email, the internet and Microsoft Word.

🍽️ Hospitality Course
Develop practical skills for working in cafés, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality settings.

No previous experience is needed, beginners are warmly welcomed! 💚

The Disability Resource Centre, working alongside Norton Hall Children & Family Centre, is offering free, personalised support to help people on their journey to becoming smoke-free.

Support includes:

* Free one-to-one behavioural therapy to help understand habits and triggers
* Free Ni****ne Replacement Therapy (NRT) through your local GP or pharmacy
* Personalised support tailored around your lifestyle

🌿Exploring nature through curiosity and discovery 🔬

Young people from our Children & Young People’s Services recently took part in an environmental learning activity inspired by the work we do through The WASH Project 💚

Using microscopes to closely explore leaves and natural materials, the session encouraged curiosity, observation, discussion, and hands-on learning about the environment around us.

Activities like these help children and young people build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with nature in fun and engaging ways 🌱
