🌿Exploring nature through curiosity and discovery 🔬

Young people from our Children & Young People’s Services recently took part in an environmental learning activity inspired by the work we do through The WASH Project 💚

Using microscopes to closely explore leaves and natural materials, the session encouraged curiosity, observation, discussion, and hands-on learning about the environment around us.

Activities like these help children and young people build confidence, develop new skills, and connect with nature in fun and engaging ways 🌱

📚✨ Welcome to our cosy reading corner at Sunflower Nursery, based at Norton Hall ✨📚

Our reading corner has been thoughtfully created to encourage imagination, storytelling, communication, and a love for books from an early age 💛

Using props, sensory resources, and familiar stories like The Tiger Who Came to Tea, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, and Three Little Pigs, children can bring stories to life through play, discussion, and creativity.

Spaces like these help support language development, confidence, social interaction, and learning through play in a calm and nurturing environment 🌈
