Westside BID Westside BID aims to create a safer, cleaner and brighter business environment.

Westside is Birmingham’s central hub for entertainment and business, with 15,000 people employed in over 300 businesses throughout the area, including offices, hotels, pubs, clubs, restaurants and leisure venues. It also includes the International Convention Centre, Barclaycard Arena, the National Sea Life Centre, the award winning Brindleyplace, Broadway Plaza and Five Ways. The Westside Business

From creative services to community-focused initiatives, the talent, ambition and determination on display were inspiring to see.

The team had the pleasure of meeting students, learning about their business journeys and presenting certificates to award winners in recognition of their achievements.

A huge congratulations to all the students who took part and to the staff who continue to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs. A new chapter for Westside BID.

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Barrett as Chair and Naomi Aly as Vice Chair, alongside the welcome of several new Directors to the Board.

Westside BID plays a key role in supporting one of Birmingham’s most vibrant and fast-evolving districts, representing a diverse mix of business, hospitality, leisure, culture and entertainment across areas including Broad Street, Brindleyplace, Centenary Square and beyond.

These appointments come at an important time following a successful ballot, as the BID continues to build momentum behind its core priorities: Culture and Vibrancy, Clean and Green, Network and Voice, and Engaged and Connected.

Together, the new Board will help strengthen collaboration across the district, support local businesses, and drive forward improvement and long-term growth for Westside.
